    I'm positive it's been posted before but it's interesting to see how the past vs. current.

    I wonder what kind if upgrades they will give her if we get multiple seasons.

    They've done it with Arrow, they've done it with The Flash, they even did it with Lois & Clark. So with that, I wouldn't mind if they made these changes in future seasons, or even later in the first season:

    - Punch up the colors a bit;
    - Trim the boots down a bit, from thigh-high to just below the knee;
    - Make the S-shield a little more traditional :super:

    Even if they don't, that's all right with me. I like the current version - it's classic and modern at the same time.

    I wouldn't mind the S shield to be filled in with yellow, but keep the yellow trim as well ala Superman: Earth One.

    As for Superman, Id love to see something along the lines of JMC's design.

    Personally, I think the lower half of the outfit looks really cheap compared t the top half, so it'd be nice to see them fix that.

    No offense to him, but...no.

    all things considering, i do enjoy the new suit... however, i do miss the yellow fill-in for the shape of the S.

    i kinda wish they went something along the lines of this:

    i like the yellow background as well... but if you look closely, the lining around the shape of the S is not yellow... it's white.

    I like the S as is, it looks more like a crest to me.

    Bringing this back since we'll be going into our 3rd season of the show. Do you think we'll be getting any updates to Karas uniform if not a new one some time in the future?

    According to the interviews with Melissa, she let them know "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" she loves it as is.....IMO they could put the S on the cape.

    However, the stunt doubles cape when using the bungee cords etc is split therefore you couldn't put an S on her cape for those types of stunts and it would mean more time setting up shots to make sure that you don't get the entire back of the cape. It could be done, in the fight scene with Superman even though Melissa's stunt double has a split cape, I never once saw it in the final product.

    I like the costume as is. Which is weird for me to say about a TV superhero costume as I pretty much always have minor quibbles about those due to cheapness or whatever, but this costume's an exception. It's spot-on, imo.

    The only thing I didn't like was the padding on the lower part of her arms in the first season. Either I just got use to it or they fixed that in the 2nd season, and I looked for it in the 3rd season trailer and I didn't see that as a problem in what I saw. Other than that, I am all for keeping the suit as is....she moves well in it, looks good in it, and I haven't gotten tired of it, so I'm all in for keeping it as is.

    I still hate the boots and wish she would get some new ones, at least fix the top of it.

    The tops protect the knees. Otherwise with all the action scenes Supergirl does she'd have to wear knee pads. Green Arrow and Flash have pants to keep their knees from getting scraped.
    In fact most near every other woman that does action scenes wears pants, Alex, Lyra, White Canary, Black Canary, Gypsy, Speedy, Vixen, Hawkgirl, Indigo, Livewire, Silver Banshee, Jessica Jones.
    I posed the question in another thread that does anyone know of any other female hero in a live action comic book show that wears a skirt as part of their costume and no one could think of any.
    If they had shortened the boots they probably would have had to put Supergirl in pants, and I'd rather they didn't do that.

    I like the suit the way it is and am glad she doesn't want it changed. It's classy, but not too flashy.:cwink:

    Then she would need knee pads. That is the most aesthetic way to protect her knees and still look feminine. Unless you give her knee pads the boots have to stay as is....

    The only thing I didn't like at the very beginning was the darker hose....I think they have lightened them since season 1.

    I'm with you Kelly - would love to see the yellow S on the cape. I think overall the costume is great tho.

    Have they definitely lightened them? Are we sure of that?

    I don't think she needs knee pads even if she had shorter boots. Why would she? She's the Girl of Steel. Why doesn't Superman have a codpiece then to protect his groin area? It could be the red underpants which aren't really underpants but a protector.

    I think they mean for Melissa herself, who is entirely Human.
