If Netflix UK got it...would they put up a new episode every week? Like I don't get how that would work.

If it debuted after the first season had aired in the U.S. then I imagine they would release it all in one go. However, if they air it in time with the U.S. then it's sure to be one a week.

This is quite a premature question; if the show was to ever introduce Clark/Superman, who would be s good choice to play him on TV?

Superman has already been seen ultra-briefly in the pilot, played by Kevin Caliber. We've been promised that in early episodes there will be an explanation as to why he won't be getting major screen-time in the series proper. Any speculation as to what might keep the Man of Steel away?

I wonder if they'll play Lucy Lane as a hero or a villain? Adapting the "Who is Superwoman" arc or something like that. It could be kind of cool if she's pretending to be a "hero" only to reveal her true intentions later on.

Probably something to do with the films.
I know he was seen in the pilot, but if they do end up showing him again and giving him a speaking role, I doubt he will be played by the same actor.

The shortest and most flexible way to have Supes gone, one where you can keep your options open in case you want to have Clark show up, would be to just have him busy with dozens of crises each week.

But since that would kind of impede Supergirl's own rise to fame, a more likely scenario is that he's missing in some fashion. Everyone's respectful manner of speaking of Supes could easily be construed as the holding out hope for a guy who's missing.

In the Pilot, James gives the impression that he's just spoken to Clark before he asks Kara to meet him on the roof and gives her the blanket that becomes her new cape, so I doubt he's absent. The most likely explanation for why he's not around is the one that was pretty much already given in the Pilot's closing moments, which is that he wants her to fly - both literally and figuratively - on her own.

Although Superman won't be on screen, he plays a big part in CBS' #Supergirl #TCA15 http://bit.ly/1Nlq0gv

#Supergirl has more to deal with than Clark Kent did with adjusting to earth. -

Lots of DC characters will be intro'd in first 9 #Supergirl episodes. @AJKreisberg teases Red Tornado, General Lane & Non. #TCA15

Red Tornado? Wasn't expecting that.

Red Tornado? Wasn't expecting that.

Me neither.

Not surprised by General Sam Lane appearing seeing as Lucy is coming to town as well. Man I wish he was also cast in the Suicide Squad movie as rumoured.

I love Red Tornado. Okay Supergirl, you had my curiosity. But now you have my attention.

I'm still hoping for an appearance by the Martian Manhunter at some point. The DEO monitors aliens, it's the perfect opportunity, especially since it doesn't seem like the DCEU will be using him. I like Cyborg, but I just wish that they hadn't replaced the Martian Manhunter with him. Couldn't they have done what Grant Morrison's JLA did in the 90s and add Cyborg as the eighth member instead (like Plastic Man was there)?

If they have a recurring Brainiac 5 and Streaky pawing about her apartment it will feel like a Supergirl show.

My main concern is that this will be along the lines of what non-comic readers assume Supergirl is about. Why is Jimmy Olsen around for example? Because Snyder didn't want him? If they start dating that will be awful, younger Super-cast don't just hook up because they happen to be in the same comic. That is what non-comic readers think. I'm also on edge after the tidbit about Reactron taking vengeance on Supergirl because of Superman. Reactron is a Supergirl villain, he's not about Superman. Doom Patrol have more of a connection to Reactron than Superman. In a show where they have piled in so many Superman cast offs so far, why make an actual honest to god Supergirl rogue about Superman?

Only possible way for Babs to show up is if Titans doesn't happen

Why would she be in Titans? Surely they'd do Dick-Starfire?

Here's a report from TV Wise on where Supergirl might air in the UK:

I'd prefer Sky to get it, they back shows with a huge amount of press. I don't think Arrow would have the press it does without the Sky machine behind it. But then again, Channel 4 is free to air and gets a lot more viewers. However their scheduling is awful for US material. Fans will have already seen it online if they are not careful. I don't see why Sky can only go after 1 show or another. They have deep pockets. And if they got Supergirl and Legends to add to the Superhero line up it would be something. I guess they are tied with Legends now though, considering they have Arrow and Flash.

They cant' rely on just comic book fans to watch this program and keep it on the air. I am one of those non-comic book fans (that is just now reading some of the comics) and I have loved all I have heard and seen.

Though I'm not big on a big "love story line" I don't mind one being a part of the side stories...that doesn't bother me in the least. If the chemistry is there, that is what I want to see.

This group of actors already has great chemistry from what I have seen in the pilot, and I'm excited to see what they have in store for us.

I also don't see a problem with the Reactron storyline, though I understand why comic book fans may not be happy with the choice, they have stated from the get go that they are creating their own universe, so these types of announcements should not be surprising.

Why would she be in Titans?

Because she's the team's support.

Surely they'd do Dick-Starfire?

Having Barbara around doesn't in any way preclude that relationship from happening.

On-topic, comic readers are not and will not ever be the 'target demographic' for this (or any other comics-based) show, and their interest level (or lack thereof) will have absolutely no affect whatsoever when it comes to the series' success or failure.
