SUPERMAN: So Bruce, how would you reboot my movie franchise?
BATMAN: Here´s some thoughts I´ve collected recently on the matter: Leave the damn origin alone. You already have a great origin movie, and we´re getting more than our share of superhero origin movies as it is. Enough with the Donner references and Bible allegories. Don´t try to reinvent the wheel, whether it´s a kid or whatever, let´s modernize you by creating your most exciting adventure ever, with all that modern technology can do.

Here´s an idea: The movie starts as you are on the top of the world on Earth. You can protect Earth from anything, you´re the most powerful being on the planet, you´re beloved by all. Then the hordes of Darkseid attack the Earth. Huge battles ensue, and you realize even you´re not powerful enough to stop Darkseid and his army. You find out the answer may be out of Earth, on Apokolips. You´re forced to fly away from Earth at the verge of humankind´s extinction, just like you had to do with Krypton. As you arrive on Apokolips, your powers are reduced by the distance from Earth´s sun, Darkseid is seen as a God and even the mention of the name Superman inspires rage and hatred. More than your powers, you have to count on your mind - and heart - to get what you need to get - haven´t decided on that yet, let´s leave some suspense here - get back to Earth and fight Darkseid with all your might. Ultimately, you realize your greatest power is in your humanity. Tell me you can´t make an exciting, dramatic and compelling Superman movie out of this.
SUPERMAN: Hmmmm...

Superman could use some Darkseid. Cinema in general could use some Darkseid.

BATMAN: "What the- are they ripping off the scene where Gordon saves me from the Joker in TDK?! Those fiends! I'll have their asses for this!"
SUPERMAN: "I don't know Bruce, that's a fairly generic action pose there, anyone could do that without being accused of ripping off someone else's film."
