I agree....the Alien movies not withstanding...action movies with a female lead aren't that good to start with

Doomsday is really good IMO, but like 15 people saw that in the theaters

Weaver was kickass though in the Alien movies so I can see why people say she like a action movie hero in some regards.

she is, but if you leave those films out of the conversation....the female action lead doesn't really hold up well

Yeah true I agree I mean look at the Resident Evil films for example. I mean overall they decent at best but they trying to make it action movie like, especially with the last film. And alot of people are not buying it with Milla acting like she Wonder Women.

I like the RE movies, Ive never been a big fan of the games so it being "faithful" really hasn't been an issue for me

Resident Evil: Degeneration was "faithful" and that wasn't all that great either

RE movies to me are decent...I liked the last one as it was something like a mindless action movie from the 80s or 90s mixed with horror...while also paying homage to The Road Warrior.

I like Milla... usually... I think she would be more of an iconic action star if the RE movies weren't so terrible. I wish she would have attached herself to a better action franchise.

I don't remember... was The Fifth Element a hit? I would have loved for that to have turned into a series of films.

Fifth Element did good at the box office and received good reviews so yes it was a hit...but how the film was set up its impossible for them to had done sequels.

Meh, I don't know. I'm not saying that they SHOULD have done a sequel, but I think they could have, if the story was there.

Well Fifth Element did have aliens in it so maybe an alien invasion in the sequel I guess....they will proably end up remaking the film in 7 yrs anyways.

I loved Linda Hamilton in T2. She was scarier than the T-1000.

You're probably right.

Korben Dallas: Sam Worthington
Leeloo: Megan Fox
Zorg: Russell Brand
Father Vito Cornelius: Ben Kingsley
Ruby Rhod: Jaden Smith

I am so freaking pumped for this movie it's not even funny. I don't care if this gets 2% on RT, I am going to see this opening night. I can't remember the last time I was this pumped for a movie.

Stallone broke his neck???!!! Holy ****! This movie just raised the bar of expectation now.

Hmm, it seems unsure of what type of movie it's going to be. It doesn't look ironic or comedic enough to be a so-bad-it's-good film, but it doesn't look good enough to be a genuine genre classic either.
