That's why I tend to hate living in California sometimes. When you got people picketing for Johannes Mehserle, that's when you know people here are ridiculous.

Isn't that the cop who "accidentally" shot an unarmed man in the back of the head during an arrest because he got his sidearm and tazer "confused"? I heard he had supporters...

Yup.

It's people that are standing up for law enforcement and them doing their jobs to keep people safe.

I appreciate cops that keep the peace but when some of those protesters were saying that Mehserle shouldn't be jailed, I was thinking wtf!?

Yeah, there are some cases that are just complete clustertrucks that protesters should stay away from. This was one of them.

Are people protesting about how the film is too violent for kids?

they are protesting about Arnold and the state budget and all that mess, and probably the violence too

Arnold's a lame duck governor, he's not going to do anything as he nears the end of his term. He probably doesn't care anymore either. What exactly are the protesters going to do? Kick Arnold out of office with a few months left?

To be fair, Arnold is such a crappy Governor that him taking time off to be in a movie is probably the best news the state has had in at least 3 years.

New TV Spot out.

Arnold : "You look smaller, have you lost weight?"

Sly: "Whatever weight I lost, you found pal."

:woot:

Didn't Stallone write it specifically to be an overblown 80's meathead flick homage? I mean that is what I am going for. :woot:

Exactly!

He wasn't aiming for Oscar Nominations....he was aiming to make a kick ass R rated throwback Action film baby!

If Inception takes spot this weekend.....then it will surely lose next weekend to the Expendables.

It's funny because it's true, when you compare their respective physical conditions at their age.

Granted, Anuld is a public figure so he can't be caught with the juice and HGH that Sly uses to help keep in shape.

Don't these people realize they're giving the movie more press with the protest?

Den of Geek review

I've never laughed so hard at a review.

And there’s plenty of that. There are a couple of standout action sequences, and each frame boasts flames somewhere, bullets flying, or a sweaty action star. Or a combination of all three. Then, at the moments when it looks like Stallone and his crew have run out of people to shoot, it simply cuts to a shot of another truckload of cannon fodder coming around the corner,

I want a 300+ body count by the time the credits roll. :awesome:

At least we got 3 positive reviews. I'm glad to see they are getting the point. I have high hopes, that as much buzz around my city, and hopefully elsewhere, that this movie takes the number 1 spot.

Another hilarious review.

taking down mahogany-tanned Eric Roberts with the most extreme prejudice imaginable.

Remember that bit in Predator where Arnold Schwarzenegger encounters Carl Weathers and they do that comically manly handshake / arm-wrestle thing? Imagine that, with lots of explosions added in. And some guns.

And every scene culminates in some sort of fight. Every single shot, in fact, has a fight in it. Sometimes the fights are interrupted so that another fight can take place in the middle. Then it’s back to the fighting.

Sooner or later some bright spark will pop up on IMDB or Movie Mistakes with an estimated body count for this film. It will be wrong. The exact number of disposable goons variously shot, stabbed, shouted at or stamped on can never be quantified.

But it is a lot.

Count me there. My only disappointment in the review is that Jet Li is more of a regular soldier like the rest. I was hoping for the stereotpyical Asian guy in the unit who's a ninja and uses blades instead of guns, blades that can somehow deflect bullets.

Hahaha! Some of those review comments sound awesome. My favorite has to be

I seriously doubt this movie will be number 1 at the box office next week. Inception is still runing hot and this movie is going up against Scott Pilgrim Vs the World which has been getting great reviews and it is pg 13 not R like this movie. I plan to see this and Scott pilgrim next weekend (seen inception twice and love it). But I am more excited about Scott pilgrim because I am a comic and video game geek lol. I see Inception, Scott pilgrim and expandables rounding out the top three spots at the box office (in no particular order).

Really looking forward to this.

I'm also looking forward to laughing at some of the reviews criticizing this movie for being "brainless" and other redundant criticisms.

YES!!!

I was already going to see the film and that just sold me on the awesomeness of it. :)

I don't think anyone really cares about Scott Pilgrim besides the internet and that's not always a good thing. I sure as hell don't care about that emo crap, I want to see sexplodes and nad grenades with my fellow manly men.
