You're all Noobs!:cmad:

Btw this isn't me, it's my cousin Walter. :awesome::up:

Ha ha ha very funny. Well I told my cousin not to use my laptop without my permission anymore because he really posted some stupid stuff on my facebook and all my friends think it's me. But again I wanted to say sorry to people in thread his actions. Peronally I am excited about both movies. So either way I get to see lots of killing and then street fighter esque fight scenes next weekend. WIN!!!

This is what I hope the entire movie is. Ridiculous action stunts punctuated by Statham fist pumps.

Yes, yes, YES!! That was an epic clip. Now, let's get that whole movie like that.

Anyone find out the running time for it yet? I'm hoping for pure 2 hours. This movie DESERVES 2 hours of just gun fights explosions and muscles.:o:woot:

That's it?:csad:

That doesn't seem nearly long enough for this epic.

Unlike other 1980s-style action movies, this one doesn't have a "training montage," which shaves about 12 minutes off the run time.

True. But at least a flashback of how they all met, or something like that could fill in said 12 minutes.

Regardless, It's only 5 days away. :woot:

On my permanent record? O man I understand I mean it was pretty ignorant. But just for the record it was not actually me that posted the trolling messages. Terminator I apologize if you were offended by those messages.

I'm offended by the removal of my Die Hard 2 post. That was good stuff. :csad:

104 minutes. Roughly the same as Predator.

I think that's a perfect runtime for this film. Considering the reviews saying it's practically nonstop action and the story isn't anything big or complex, it's just right in my eyes.

Look at a number of action films from the '80s, a lot of them weren't overly long either.

First Blood - 93 minutes
First Blood 2 - 96 minutes
Rambo III - 102 minutes
John Rambo - 102 minutes(extended cut)
Predator - 107 minutes
Commando - 90 minutes
Bloodsport - 92 minutes

There are a few that are longer of course like Rocky and Die Hard but the ones I listed were had a good enough runtime.

Here's hoping we see the Bruce in some more kick ass action scenes in the sequel!

I seriously doubt this movie will be number 1 at the box office next week. Inception is still runing hot and this movie is going up against Scott Pilgrim Vs the World which has been getting great reviews and it is pg 13 not R like this movie. I plan to see this and Scott pilgrim next weekend (seen inception twice and love it). But I am more excited about Scott pilgrim because I am a comic and video game geek lol. I see Inception, Scott pilgrim and expandables rounding out the top three spots at the box office (in no particular order).

Scott Pilgrim looks like a waste of time and money at the movie theater.....hahaha

Love the TV spots with Guns and Roses Paradise City song being used!

Yeahhhhhh!

The Expendable actors will be on TV
Wednesday 8/11: Jason Statham 11:35 The Tonight Show with Jay Leno
Thursday 8/12: Stars from The Expendables 7:00 Attack of the Show (replays at 1:00 and 4:00am)
Thursday 8/12: Sylvester Stallon and Jason Statham 12:05am(some of you may consider this Friday morning) Jimmy Kimmel Live

My source is the Dish Network guide.

And the difference is that Rocky and Die Hard are legitimate masterpieces, whereas The Expendables falls under cheesy Commando territory.

How do you pronounce Jason Statham anyway?

I say Jason Stay-term

Ive heard Jason Star-term... jus wondering

When this movie's main draw is the cast and cast alone, I wouldn't expect it to be one of those action masterpieces. It's going to be cheesy good fun just like, as you said, Commando. I don't have a problem with that. :woot:

Out of the names I've seen thrown around why not Jackie Chan? We could get a proper Jet vs Jackie , that would be badass.

Some good reviews out there , four days away , I can't wait.

You don't want to hear me pronounce it with my Cdt Cousteau accent.

I say [ St ] [ a like in arrival first a ] [t ] [ ham like ham in hamburger ]

I'm kind of glad Chan isn't in it. I feel he's burnt out and he would be out of place next to everyone else. He should just stick to his silly martial arts comedies.

Harrison Ford better be in the sequel. Along the lines of the Willis cameo.
