The Dark Knight TDK DVD Release Date

that's Christmas sorted so! I was hoping for November though so I'd be able to watch it with my peeps before the xmas break

I'd kill for a commentary

Ah, looks like I'll be spending my Christmas with the Joker. Couldn't have asked for a better way to spend the day.

As for the extras on the dvd, I love the suggestions so far (commentary, viral campaign info, Joker/Batman relationship) and I'd also like to see a clip showing us a typical day of a TDK actor on set, from morning till the cameras stop rolling. This could include fun behind-the-scenes moments, little snippets of the actors and Nolan discussing the next scene, actors chatting and laughing on break, etc. Similar to "A day in the life of a Hobbit" that was on the LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring Extended Edition dvd.

Definitely another feature just for the script and its influences in comics and how the story came to be. This particular feature on the BB dvd was one of the most memorable to me. I could watch it over and over again.

I also wouldn't mind seeing Heath with his skateboard in the 'In Memoriam' feature (I'm sure there will be one). Hopefully someone took a picture of him, at least.

Hate to burst everyone's bubble, but isn't this coming from latinoreview? It seems like a decent date, but you can never be too careful with info this early from that site.

Do they really decide DVD release dates this early? The movie doesn't even hit theaters for three months.

yeah for real.

plus it IS latino review...:whatever:

but either way didnt BB come out in June and DVD in october?

so July, maybe nov or dec

Well, we still have no confirmation. But if this is true I'll be marking my calender...

are they going to release the dvd by itself pretty early and then a few months later release a special edition of it with behind the scenes stuff because I want to get the DVD ASAP but i want all the bonus stuff...

total schweetness..guess i know what's at the top of my list this year :hoboj:

I really hope there is a commentary... if not with Nolan, then by all means get a few of the cast members and executive producers in there to do a commentary for the finished film.

I hear that Nolan only does commentaries if he can either have something unique he wants to say about the filmmaking process or something, I dunno.

I also want to see:

- deleted scenes (if there aren't any like BB, then just slap some scenes shot from alternate angles on there)
- a Batman Anthology-esque documentary about the long process from getting to the production of BB and TDK after the Schumacher phase
- an in-depth featurette about the new Batsuit and Batpod

Hell, if WB gives the film the deluxe treatment (aka the Anthology treatment) with a "Shadows of the Bat" documentary, villain and hero profiles, interviews and such -- that would be terrific. The 2-disc BB edition was just a joke compared to the Anthology set.

But Latino Review seems on the money with the DVD and Blu-ray release date of TDK. If it's wrong, I think it will be released the week after December 9th or in late November. The WB could surely capitalize on HP 6 in November and include a free movie ticket for that film in the TDK DVD/Blu-ray release.

Awesome. :word:

Hopefully we can get some Heath interviews (there have to be at least a few) and behind the scenes footage of him in action. Also, I would love for Nolan to do a commentary track.

Well like someone already said, this is going to be another wait before we can finally have TDK to ourselves. I hope being as long as it is from the theatrical release that they do beef up the special features. I agree with most if not all suggestions...Lets just hope they dont waste this opportunity to bring us the goods on how they came up with the story, the psychology of the characters and how Nolan and Ledger created the JOKER. Oh, my bday is Dec. 13th. i can gaurantee I will get it for my bday and my family will have a good laugh at me and my interest in batman...oh well they're missin out.:yay:

I'll probably see this about 5 times in the theaters, and who knows how many times when I get the Blu-Ray.

Also will be getting Begins limited edition Blu-Ray set(even though I already have it on DVD and HD-DVD), especially since I just seen the TDK Prologue will be on there. NICE! And also on Blu-Ray that will be mine, TDK: Gotham Knights.

I can't wait!:woot:

I have a feeling the movie will be released a little sooner... but, oh well, CALENDAR MARKED!

i would have really loved a heath commentary, but sadly, that will not be...but im hoping they at least spoke to him on set about his process, etc....

Sounds great! Though, I expected it a month or two earlier.

I would love to see a commentary. I would gladly trade a few documentaries for a commentary. Perhaps with Bale and Nolan.

Yes i hope it's not a "Play movie, trailer, scene selection and subtitle options" crap like the first batman begins release was. :csad:
