I was in the cinema watching AVP2(a couple of hours I'll never get back) and my brother sent me a txt to tell me, I'd had seen the trailer befor the film:csad: I also remember the 1st joker pic(very grainy, Heath outside his trailer)

I was playing darts with my brother when I got a call from Clown_Assasin to turn on Sky News. Was horrible.

I remember how cool I thought the Jokers look was (From the first released picture)
Then the second picture came out and I was ehh... The makeup and his little curly hairs kind of killed it for me. Then as more pictures came out he looked totally different and it was just a bad angle (for me.)

And when I bought the Joker Face shirt from hot topic around november and none of my friends knew what it was, and I just laughed.

Ill post some more later

I remember staring at a tv for hours when comiccon 2007 was happening.

I remember watching shakey bootlegs.

I remember going to CNN.com and the headline saying that Heath Ledger was dead. I was shocked. (I still can't believe it. I don't feel like he's dead. :()

I remember typing in random urls and extensions to try to find the next viral.

I remember loving this whole thing.

I remember that blurry image of the Two-Face toy..."OMG, it's supposed to be TWO Face, not THREE QUARTERS Face!"

I remember lurking on here for years and then coming to the Batman forum and seeing this, real? fake? it got crazy:

I remember the uproar when this image was released:

I remember then registering on the site so I can participate in the discussions but still being a bit(ok lot) of a lurker.

I remember how it felt when after so long I finally clicked on the Viral Marketing forum and found out I missed out on cake and cell phones. *chokes up*

I remember then participating in the Dent stuff and promising myself to stay far, far away from this Spoilers forum
...I failed miserably on the latter.

On a sadder note- I remember I had just finished doing my excerises in my room and came out to the living room to have my dad tell me to watch the news. When I saw that Heath Ledger had passed away I remember thinking No way. There was no way. The first thing I did was come on here and to read everyone's messages, which confirmed it for me. I then remember thinking how strange it was- for me to feel so sad for a "celebrity's" death. It was a few weeks before his passing that I had started to do research on him, his movies and stuff, and respected him so much as a person and actor. I felt so bad for his little daughter.

On a happier note- I remember going to the latest Joker Scavenger hunt for the third trailer, having the thing broken up by rent-a-cops, but finally being able to see it and I remember lookeing around the theater hoping to capture the moment.

I will always remember how much fun I have had on these Batman forums, even as a lurker(although I wish I wasn't so much of one...).
It's been a wild, yet fun, ride.

Ha, I was going to do this thread next week :(

I am currently writing my thoughts on it all - in my normal fashion it will be overly long and far too serious. Looking around - I think me and Soze are among the few left that have been following this since Batman Begins came out.

Great Thread... one that gets you quite sentimental.

I was born in 1990 so obviously I missed a bout of bat-mania at it's highest, yet I have always loved this character (thanks to B:TAS) - and this is the first time in my Bat-fan life that I was able to interact with other fans about something that was so near and dear to our hearts.

Yes, we may not always have agreed on certain elements, ( perma-white, etc.), but thats what made it fun. You guys get me... and I get you!

It's been an absolute joy to have been on this TDK roller coaster ride with all of you... I hope we have it again some time.

I loved hearing fan experiences and reactions from the chicago set:

Those blurry Joker images:

And who could forget JOKER'S SOCKS!

I really want to thank everyone, for a small experience that I will never forget.
Honestly, I could wait for this movie forever, just to experience this anticipation a little longer.

Is it bad that I prefer the look of blurry far away Joker to TDK Joker?

Truth be told, I'm gonna miss it, when all's said and done :csad:

That is the thing that blows my mind. All the complaining of how long we have to wait until the dark knight comes out, is going to be replaced with sadness of the knowing that the ride we took to get here with our fellow hypsters has come to a close :csad:

--------

I will remember going to work, hearing my mate goes, hey, guess what, Heath Ledger is dead. This friend that told me the info rarely lies about serious topics, but i still thought no....

Then i headed to news.com.au and tried going to this forum, the forum crashing confirming everyone's worries

That is a day I will never forget.

Guess what...

On July 19th...

The Countdown Begins...

For...

BATMAN BEGINS 3.

I remember when i just started posting in this forum after lurking for like 2 years, then thinking 300 posts for an avatar, ill never make it. Now Here i am at 500 posts with an avatar and it feels good. :D

It's been a pleasure ya'll see ya on the superman boards once that gets up and rollinnnnnng! Bring on THE MAN OF STEEL!

A ton of people *****ing about not being able to see the Wizard World footage after it had been screened. Joker gets his scar from Batman's zip-line! The first trailer is going to be a commercial supporting Dent that gets interrupted by the Joker!

Good times.

This thread also reminded me of the wait for Batman Begins. Remember Green Day having a song on the soundtrack?

my fondest memories will always be the virals..i really did (and do) consider myself a citizen of Gotham City because of it..the creativity of those games is astounding and will never/should never be surpassed
