The Dark Knight Rises TDKR Viral Hunters Thread - Part 9

ALL of the answers on the Nokia viral are on Nokia's Facebook page.

You probably just have to try again by resetting your browser. I got a couple of them wrong at first and I'm entered in all 4 now. I ran into a smilar problem after answering my second one correct, and I just reset my browser and it worked.

Yeah, tried that and it worked again, thanks!

ALL of the answers on the Nokia viral are on Nokia's Facebook page.

I saw the comments on one of the pics, I honestly dont know where they got some of the numbers, but I solved 2 out of 4 myself :oldrazz:

As for how they got the numbers/word with each:

Stadium
The Stadium's answer comes from Giants Stadium's facts and not Hienz Field's. Kinda dumb, but whatever.
Asylum
Arkham Asylum's word is in its picture. They aren't quite out to get you.
Wayne Tower
Old Wayne Tower's construction date is the answer to this one.
City Hall
The license plate of the Lambo.

So does anybody have any guesses as to how this pre-screening ticket giveaway will go down? Its obviously going to involve Gofobo but will it be similar to Operation Early Bird? Im just trying to get myself ready because if the screenings are happening on the 18th then we only have a little over a week before they announce the viral for them. If I remember correctly the TDK ticket giveaway happened on July 10th (8 days before the nation wide release) and the screening was on July 15th (3 days before release) so if WB is following suit we should be expecting the giveaway to happen this weekend into early next week right?

I guess we could be expecting something any day now. When did Operation Early Bird first emerge? I remember that screening was the 13th of December, but can't remember when the site first emerged.

But the screenings were linked to the virals, of which there is none. I really don't think there will be any "personal direct" involvement to the screenings. i.e do something and get yourself a ticket. I do know there will be "marketing" screenings involving Radio Stations, stores and such. There already are some planed here in Calgary AB involving a radio station. So I'm gonna have to "listen to win" if I want to see it on Wednesday.

That said I hope I'm totally wrong.

WB seems to be going heavier with sponsor participation instead of virals this time, so I would think the Nokia and Mountain Dew campaigns will have access to many of the early screening tickets.

Can’t believe that this hasn’t been posted here. “Leaked” letter from Luciuus Fox to Bruce Wayne. It’s real. Look it up.

Dear Bruce,

I hope this letter finds you well. Although I would have liked to have had this conversation with you personally, Alfred tells me I am better off writing as you are not receiving any visitors at the moment. That being the case, I’ll do my best to detail what I feel is becoming a situation within the company.
It’s a given that in the current economic climate our investors have become increasingly concerned about how their money is being spent. As such, our own profitability is being judged and analyzed, particularly by the Board itself. In the past, we haven’t given them any reason to worry as both our earnings and spending have been consistent. This allowed us the autonomy to dedicate resources to Wayne philanthropic programs as well as our own R&D endeavors. But over the past five quarters, our earnings have been on the downtrend. Meanwhile, our R&D spending has been on an astronomical uptrend. And as the black grows fainter around the entire company, I am being put into a position where I have to answer certain questions, particularly about your energy project.
No one is going to dispute the fact that innovation is key to our growth and success. It’s a mainstay of our business, which is all the more reason why the Board has begun to scrutinize our R&D budget and set their sights on your machine. Since they don’t know exactly what you’re up to, all they understand is a vast amount of capital is being spent on something they now deem as fruitless – quest for clean energy. Herein lies the problem.
The last time we spoke, you expressed your reluctance to move the project forward and initiate the next phase of trials. I understand your argument as to why. But if you want the company to continue to fund your efforts, I think it is time we give the Board more than just the overview they already have, enlightening them on what this project will mean to Gotham if you are successful. On a personal note, I’d also like to let them know that with age, Bruce Wayne has decided to fill his father’s shoes, using Wayne Enterprises and all its resources to readily and reliably support our city.
Nothing bad can come from this, Bruce. But if you decide not to address the issue at hand, I am not sure how long I can keep the Board at bay. Making matters more difficult is your absence. I am assuming you have your reasons for it and it is not my job to question those, but I fear that if you are going to drop off the radar for an extended period of time, we may risk another Bill Earle situation. I can see a couple [of] Board Members already maneuvering to build influence around the table, most notably John Daggett, who I feel is the last person we want to engage in a power struggle.
When I agreed to take on this role I knew full well what the job and our agreement entailed. I am also well aware of your preferred ways of handling all matters relating to Wayne Enterprises However, I must tell you that we are quickly approaching a set of circumstances that will unfortunately call for a change if we do not address the Board. Change in most instances is not a bad thing, but in this regard I am worried. I’m sure you consider my pessimism to be just another part of my charm. That may be the case, but let’s remember: you didn’t hire me for my charm.
I look forward to hearing from you.
With luck it will be in person.

I entered in the DEWgothamcity.com advanced screening thing and just got an email saying i won. Maybe themtn dew site was the viral.. TDK's was still better with the whole joker thing and him emailing you about where to meet(advanced screening tickets) but Still no clue. Hope they give out cool merch like they did for the 6 minute opener from operation early bird.:word:

Congrats man! I won too! I verified through the link and now am waiting for the details. What city did you choose?

You have to purchase a specially marked Mountain Dew product (one of the cups at 7-11, one of their standard 24ozs, I believe, in addition to the 2 liters and cubes.) Then, you register for a profile on Dewgothamcity and submit your points to the lottery of prize(s) of your choice.

Yeah, I have about 15 points but I'd rather try to win the Bane's mask, Batman's cowl or the signed script. I entered 2 points for my city's screening and got the email from them today. I was shocked but I can't wait!

I won tickets for Minnesota, but Im thinking I might have to choose whether or not I want to go to the advance screening or the midnight premiere since I already had tickets for it. Do you guys know when the advanced screening is supposed to take place? Isnt something like 7 on the 19th?

How do you enter for the advance screenings!? I've been to the sweepstakes section and I have 3 points left and don't see the advance screening option for LA!? Do I need more points or badges or something to unlock that option? HELLLLP!!

I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but the last day to enter was a few days ago. Mtn Dew had tweeted about it the night before saying only 1 day left to enter for the screenings.

when is that nonsense fandango theater thing gonna be done? does anyone know what happens when it finally fills up?

It's not TDKR-related. WB would want to make the rabbit hole bigger, instead of getting ONE person a note from a random homeless man. :funny:

As someone who has run an ARG before, I can assure you that the random note receiver is almost definitely "in on it". He's the protagonist weaving the story and casting the net over all of Reddit. A sufficiently large pool for a TDKR campaign. We'll have to see where it goes, but it is almost certainly an ARG of some kind.
