It's ridiculous to say that people who don't like the teaser aren't true Punisher fans. I'm sorry, but it's ridiculous. And an3ros's statement above about the Batman avatar is just as ridiculous. Since when has it become "cool" to say that anyone that has a negative opinion on anything is a Batman fan? Kable24 is obviously a huge Punisher fan and even HE thinks this movie looks like garbage. Maybe your idea of a "true fan" is a little skewed. True fans wouldn't accept their favorite character being a part of a piece of **** movie. Otherwise, Batman & Robin would have been a lot more popular.

Also, those that use this argument -- "Don't say negative things and ruin the movie for those of us who are patiently waiting and think its looks good" -- are idiots. Does that mean people can't say positive things about the teaser, because it's "just a teaser" and not enough of an indicator? Please. Spare me the BS and just accept that this teaser has gotten a poor/mixed reaction among the seven people that actually know this movie is even being released.

How can CASk8er87 say that you should go into a movie with no expectations, when he plainly stated that the movies "looks awesome"? You should ALWAYS go into a movie with expectations....expecting that the movie will be good. If you don't think a movie will be good, why see it?

I agree with CASk8er87 on most of what he had to say, but you also have a good point too. What's the point in seeing a movie if you can't have expectations for it? When I went to see Hulk & Ironman like most here,I expected it to be good. Nobody should ever have to lower standards of a movie, either you enjoy it or you don't. However, there is the point of if you don't like it or think it'll suck then don't see it.

You even said it yourself in your post that I quoted. But the thing that many people who like the trailer are saying in their defense of the trailer to some degree is true, because most that say they hate it and think it'll suck still admit in their post that they'll still pay money and go to see it. However, I do agree that every fan like you said has a right to say what they want to say about the movie, but why ***** and complain if you're still going to see it?

I like the visuals and from what I've heard of the plot it doesn't bug me. Even the Sub-plot Grundy doesn't seem to have a taste for... Also Ray is a great choice... That all said... the teaser doesn't sit right with me. I don't know what it is though, but my annoyance is to big to be just the chandler...

I saw Wanted last night and the Punisher teaser played with it. I didn't hear much from the audience though.

I have to admit it looks a bit better on the big screen than online but I still don't know about this one.

Honestly, the neon lighting thing doesn't bother me as much as others. The only couple of things that kind of turned me off a little is the spinning chandelier scene, his voice(something about it doesn't work, will hold full judgement till I see the film)and the turtle neck collar.

I hear some fans saying he wore that collar in certain comics, I just don't think it looks good in the film. It reminds me too much of him wearing a neck brace like he broke his neck and just came out of the hospital. It might have looked better if it were a bit lower/smaller.

After watching the teaser in Hi-def I like it quite a bit however my problems with it are a few. The red lighting on the dinner table scene looks I don't know too colorful for my taste I can't put my finger on what it is that bothers me about it. Punisher's voice is just too over the top the way he delivers the somebody has to punish the corrupt and specially the this is just the beginning
line bothers me. The scene of him hanging from the chandelier what's with that? I mean won't someone come from behind or even far away shot him behind the head? I think he should be covering while shooting and not exposed like that. Jigsaw's look, the makeup looks fake from the little I've seen and his face looks just like dorian from the mask like someone else pointed out already. Although this may be nitpicking too much i wish they fixed the way the thug lands on the tile wall after punisher throws him you can tell he's on wires.

agreed, for the most part. yeah, swinging on a chandelier leaves him open, but we don't even know how he got there. i doubt he does it mid-battle, like oh yeah lemme try this! he probably planned it and it would allow him to get the drop on everybody in the room. as far as getting shot in the back, it is in slow motion so in actuality it would only take a few seconds and frank's got sick precision so he'd take everybody out.

max has been referenced in regards to the style or look of the production, as was just said by a few other people.

yeah, it is just a title, but the film is obviously based on various punisher mythos when you've got characters like jigsaw, micro, and soap in it.
