....and yet they were both defeated by Squirrel Girl.
Thanos wasn't souped up at the time by Death in those fights mentioned above?
So what's the criteria here? At the beginning of the thread it said "villainous". Now we're talking power level?
Whichever it is, Thanos comes in a distant 5th or 6th in villainy.
Thanos : Let's kill half the population of the universe.
Annihilus : Eff that! Let's kill them all!
As for Power.... Galactus leaves him in the dust.
And for the record... Doom can hang with the likes of Hulk, Thor, and The Surfer as well. He's constantly manipulated the Hulk through tech or talk to work for him.
His tech... his forcefield really... can hang with Thor all day. At least to a stalemate.
And he drains the powers of the Silver Surfer whenever he needs too.
Let's not forget that Doom has had powerups galore over the years. He's lived millions of years learning dark arts from the Master. Years of study with Morgan Le Fey. His magic almost landed him the Master of Mystic Arts title. Twice!
Prep-time is not a disadvantage when you're a villain. Only heroes like Batman have to go back after defeat to come up with prep-time. Villain's prep-time is anticipatory.
Now did he lose those battles in the end? Yes. Cause if the heroes don't win we won't have any more comic books.
