Comics The '07 X-Event: Endangered Species, Messiah Complex, & Disassembled

Or something, lol. :D :D :D

lol.

and so what if they ARE gay? damn. would u really lose sleep at night because a fictional character is gay? it seriously isn't that uh, er, serious.

it isn't part of a greater gay conspiracy or gay agenda...its just calling something what it is...and those two got awfully close awfully fast but hey..maybe they just ARE BFFs...but i wouldn't be surprised if it were revealed otherwise

Northstar? The first thought that came in my head was Hellion

yeah me too...but does Hellion have super speed? and why does Northstar have Super speed when Quicksilver was already around? and so he can only use his light beam when holding hands with his sister? thats lame.

Spoiler for Divided We Stand #2:

Just as X-Men: Divided We Stand #1, on sale today, had an unannounced Hellion story, next month's second issue features a VERY SPECIAL "secret" story as well. Guess who's coming back?!

Not a dream. Not a hoax.

Enjoy,

Thoughts on DWS #1:

1. Was awesome seeing Husk again :D Hope Cannonball enjoys his time away from the spotlight; but can't wait to see him again. Hopefully w/ Paige.

2. Nehzno's story was really sad. His mom is a betch though. Don't sleep with Russian men if you're not willing to deal with the halfbreed kid........you ****e :o

3. Anole Anole Anole. I don't even know what to say. I totally see where he's coming from, the "adults" at the mansion did a horrible job raising/teaching those kids. It's a shame he wants to disappear completely though, I was really starting to like him. What he did to Northstar was uncalled for too

4. Diggin Emma's new outfit  But anyway, Magneto puts a new spin on the situation. Leave it to the X-Men's greatest villain to calm me down lol. Erik was right about Hellion acting a lot like Quicksilver though.

5. Nightcrawler's story was ok I guess

She's back! :yay:
Who was her best friend, again?

Oh, that's right. Kitty. :csad:

Magik? Where?

DWS #1 was really good. I really liked Nehzno's story and I was hoping to see Husk using her powers. I hope someone puts her on a book.

i agree completely. i thought it kinda dull from previews but it was bloody good. it Gave VERY different views from a number of different mutants we dont see much of.
Nehzno in particular, i cant say ive known anything about at all, and it took just 8 pages to turn him into a character im interested in.
A suprisingly good read. Would definately recomend it.

I'm just torn between agreeing with Anole about the X-Men ruining their childhoods. But then totally seeing where [blackout]Mags[/blackout] is coming from, saying that Cyclops is giving them a chance to have that back by sending them home.

so what happens to these characters AFTER disassembled? do they stay that way? of so..why do we even care about their lives away from the X?

I care! :(

But yeah, I've no clue what's going on with some of these people post-disassembled

Ok. You guys really have to hang with me here. I JUST finished messiah complex 30 mins ago, I'm drunk, and I'm tired. I've been trying to catch up on whats been said, reading through all the pages, and I don't know what conclusions or predictions you all have come to and made... but I have to express something about this before i finsih, cause im going to bed.

I'm so dissapointed with Bishop's direction in this. To me, Bishop represented the nature of Xavier's dream. Originally, he came back and was honored to serve alongside his childhood heroes, and has always seemed like a totally noble soldier and a true believer in xavier's dream... I'e not read what's been said, and I'm not going to ***** and complain, but I'm kind of upset... its a retcon I'm not fond of, and lets face it, this isn't what was originally intended for his character and I'm not a fan of the outcome.

I hated the Cannonball/Husk story. I thought it was going to be better than what we saw. My favorite by far was the Nehzno one, followed by Hellion.

See...I agree with Banshee...this was not a natural progression of Bishop's character...at all....

Basically what they're showing us is X-Men that won't be around starting 500. Anole, Hellion, Sam and Nezhno are so not going to be on the X-Men (even though Nez wants to).

Bishop AND Cable are both being silly but they're still redeemable though
well I dont see anything wrong with Cable that needs redeeming. Bishop, on the otherhand is a mess. MC was complete and utter character assassination for him. It's like a completely different character. Im hoping they do say this is a skrull, sentinel or something else bc he's done a complete 180 and is unrecognizable. I liked him before, but now I just want him dead
