Comics The '07 X-Event: Endangered Species, Messiah Complex, & Disassembled

Yeah, Madrox isn't dying. Death is not a "major impact on Madrox's personality." Well, it is, but it's a stupid way of beating around the bush if talking about the character who'll die.

So, far as I'm concerned, we can add Madrox to the list of safe people.

And that art is awesome. Go Gambit, go.

:D He looks great there!

I dont think they can really kill off Madrox and make it stick. How many times has he "died" in the past anyway? They'd just say it was a duplicate as always and the real Jamie was somewhere else. Its a cheap copout but it works within the sense of the character

That preview was so sweet. I am really hyped about this crossover. I bet the New X-Men end because the team gets spread out in the other X titles.

God I'd be rooting for that, but I wouldn't bet on it.

*We* might ltolerate teen angst/drama/whatever in infinitely small doses, but apparently, the more the better. Eh.

I dont want New X-men to end . I think its written well and I think its the best place for these young mutants

They said not every x-book makes it out of this event.

X-Men and Uncanny X-Men are safe because... well... they're very old.
They just told us that Jamie Madrox lives, and that X-Factor's dynamic will change after the event. It's safe.
That leaves New X-Men. It's gone.

Man, I sure hope NXM doesn't go :(

I'd like to sacrifice Exiles and New Excalibur though

Carey already said that it's his book thats getting caned. He'll be working on a maxi series after the crossover instead.

Have a source cause why would Marvel cancel the 16th highest selling comic book...

When they could cancel X-Factor (51) or New X-Men (52)???

I mean the difference between 16th and 51 is like 80,000 issues a month... that's a large cash flow.

It makes sense - New X-men is technically the lowest selling book of the core titles, just a little behind X-Factor most months.

Check any of his recent interviews. I think they mentioned it in one ofthe comic con panels.

He only said he'd be doing that maxi series, never said anything about cancelling X-Men so he could do that. Writers can work on more than one book ya know. And even if he couldn't, it would be smarter just to put on another writer instead of canceling it.

No, he distinctly mentioned that Adjectiveless is ending. PM UncannyAsianGirl at CBR for details.

16th best comic is just ending? A comic that sells over a 100,000 issues a month and is the top 7th subscribed to at Marvel and has been running over 200 issues - is just ending?

Doesn't make sense... I'll try and PM this person, but looked all over the internet and the interviews I find seem to read:

He is doing the maxi, NO mention of adjectiveless ending...

The MUCH more likely targets are X-Factor and New X-Men since they are in the 50's NOT the top 20.

I don't have an account over there, and I'm not going to start one for someone who seems to be posting on nothing but hearsay. I've posted pretty much every article that's been said on this subject, and I've seen NOTHING about him saying X-Men is ending. Unless she can produce an article that specifically says that and not twisting his words around, I'm not going to believe it.

If it's so true, post it. If he had really said that, do you seriously think that no one would have picked up on big news like that by now? I really doubt it.

Well, they keep hinting a core book is getting canned. Ain't happening to UXM and AXM. That leaves Adjectiveless.

No one said it's a core book either. Just an X-book. We already know that C&D is getting canned for Cable, which apparently has something to do with MC as well. That easily fulfills the criteria right there.

But there's nothing been said about that where another book has to die for it to start. If anything, because of that I'd be more likely to believe that it's New that bites it and spreads out the students, because I'd be surprised to see Yost and Kyle give X-23 up so easily unless they didn't have a book to put her in.

Never stopped them from adding books before. They could have easily left X-Factor and New Excalibur off of new projects to start after House of M.
