Comics The '07 X-Event: Endangered Species, Messiah Complex, & Disassembled

No, there are a few X Men that I think can lead a team, with Cyclops at the top.

Its just that Rogue is far from being one of them.

Cyclops should die and Wolverine should take over leadership of all the X-Men because Wolverine is the best at what he does and what he does is lead.

'Nuff said.

Oh God no. We need less Wolverine if anything. I say put Storm back in charge.

Oh my god, you will die now.

Depart from this forum and never return, else we shall be forced to flay you at the Dreadfort (anyone who gets this reference shall be prized with cookies).

House Bolton perchance? A Song of Ice and Fire?

We'll see how well Logan leads X-Force before I make him a candidate for leading the entire X-Men

Wolverine has some leadership "qualities" such as his extreme loyalty to his friends but, I've never viewed him as a full out leader. I guess we will see in X-Force.

There isn't a single other mutant in the X-Men who could be the same leader as Cyclops is. None of them. Not one. Not even Cable could come in and be the leader his father is.

Cyclops, very simply, has been bred and groomed to be the leader of the X-Men, if not all mutants unified under a single X-banner.

Do other X-Men have leadership ability? Yes. If Cyclops ever died, I think the best thing for the franchise would be a splitting, something akin to what has happened before, only not under a single leadership.

One team with this guy, one team with that guy, etc.

I disagree. Storm has been seen to be quite capable when she needs to be. At least, in the 90s she was.

Assuming Storm's a good leader here for a second (which I don't think she is), that still doesn't mean she's as good as Cyclops. They'll all listen to Cyclops, all the X-Men and every little off-shoot team you can think off. There's no one else of the X-Men that can rival that.

Only one way to see if anybody else can lead as well as Scott and that's to give 'em a chance. I also disagree that everybody wouldn't listen to a replacement leader.

If Storm was going to be one of the ones leading an individual team, I could be fine with that.

But the entire X-Men, like Cyclops? Please. This isn't X-Men: The Last Stand, and Storm isn't actually the man-and-salary-eater Halle Berry.

Xavier and Cable to co-lead the X-Men. I don't see any mutant having a problem with that? Besides maybe Cyclops
