Comics The '07 X-Event: Endangered Species, Messiah Complex, & Disassembled

- Xavier was so badass! The way he talked to Cable when he woke up was awesome. Why the hell doesn't he stand up to Scott like that?

Because some writers feel it's cool to turn Xavier into Cyke's second hand b****.:whatever:

Overall good story. 8/10

Xavier has a lot of things to make up for with his questionable actions over the last 10-15 years --

But an X-man dies has been removed from the solicitation interestingly enough... so who knows if it still applies any longer.

Yup, at least Dust is right in front of it. Considering it came for her, Santo and Mercury better leave unharmed.

They could have easily worked the New X-Men more into the overall story. Yost and Kyle clearly just begged to have Pred X in so they can have an excuse to kill more kids, and the kids, as characters have suffered because of it.

And it came just to eat mutants in general, not Dust specifically.

Well, the way I saw it, as soon as the baby was born, it became its primary target and completely forgot about everything else. It just happened to come back by the school again on its quest for the baby is all. If Dust was the primary target, it would have gone straight for her rather than dig up the bodies in the graveyard.

I remember some months ago that someone said that 2 Marauders would return to the X-men or something like that. Why not Raven and Remy? Also, Maybe the X-man who dies is Raven, BUt I heard she was going to be in a Wolverine book?

Mystique will turn on the X-Men every chance she gets, they better shut the door at her face.

I liked the Cable/Xavier scenes...

And since when does Bishop have a ship from his own time??? He didn't came with any technology through that portal. They're making us believe Bishop's future is bad because of the messiah and Cable's future is good because of her, but the X-Men hacve experiences with futures, they know those futures are alternate. They know Bishop's future is not theirs because he stopped Onslaught from killing the X_Men. They know Cable's future is not theirs because Apocalypse was stopped during the Twelve debacle. Why would they care about this??? We know the divergent points from where Earth 4935 (Cable) and Earth 1191 (Bishop) were originated and BOTH had been averted... so why would the Messiah Child endangered said timelines when they have already diverged and already exist?? It really doesn't make any sense.

Just because some things are different... doesn't mean other things don't play out the same way... the kid can still either bring greatness.. or hell on earth to mutants

Yes but it cannot make those futures come to pass, it'll be something completely different...

not necissarily... in the end im sure it will be, because i don't see the 616 X world turning out to be like bishops ever... but it can be a slight tweak, the baby could still be a harbinger of death

So tired of Mystique. She better not even think about joining the X-Men; and they'd be fools for entertaining the thought

Yeah, I see this as Bishop not taking any chances and Cable being optimistic

Don't worry about it. One of Wolverine's duplicates will take her out in his series. The arc is known as "Get Mystique"

Just read the latest issue of MC. Damn that was...WHOA :wow: That's what I told myself when the NX encountered Pred X.

Does anyone think Bishop will be able to kill the baby? And what's the speculation on what the Mauraders will do with the child? When I first saw Sinister I thought some experimentation of some kind, but now that its [BLACKOUT]Mystique...[/BLACKOUT]

I don't think Bishop will ever kill the kid. Although, he will have a lot of explaining to do when Jamie outs his plans
