The thing with Cyke's powers and Bishop absorbing them that I never quite took to was that his energy, though energy, is a force. Not a burning or enveloping or blasting energy. It hits you, and regardless of it it being energy, its like having an I-beam thrown at you end on. So yeah, it should always knock Bishop for six (or in this case be so focussed that it cuts clean through)

and Cyclops didnt just blast Bishop. He blasted the floor and walls around him. All that debris knocked him back as well
