Middle America is not going to put a minority in the White House.....

I have Rudy, though I wish there was an electable moderate democrat. Honestly, people wonder why Bush won in 2004? Its because the Democrat party offers no middle ground.

If only Warner decided to run, huh?

If Obama wins the nomination for the DNC (which I don't see happening) I may support him against a Republican candidate if Rudy does not win the GOP. While I agree with Matt that he is all style and little substance - I hope that will send a message to both parties.

If Obama wins, his presidency will be an unprecedented disaster. He will have no experience and it will show very early on. Especially when dealing with foreign leaders who will walk all over him because of it. Because of his lack of experience or a platform or a game plan, he will be pressured by the Democratic power in Congress (Pelosi's regime) into acting like an insane liberal. And either extreme, be it conservative or liberal is bad for our country. So, because of this, the people will be turned off (just as they were with Bush) and a hardcore right-wing Republican will beat him 2012.

I don't see how anyone can support someone with no platform, no experience, or really anything outside of some tired bull**** rhetoric...yet Obama is winning.

WTF did ANYTHING I said in the post you quoted me on have to do with Obama? I haven't found anything in Obama that inspires me to vote for him but Jesus, Matt...do you have to turn EVERY post someone makes into a rant against him, even if those posts weren't about him to begin with?

It had nothing to do with your post. We were talking about Obama in this thread, your post just made a good spring board to make a generalized point. :oldrazz:

Anyhow, want to play Survivor?

Obamas got some bandwagoners I see...Personally if the candidates dont get better I dont think I'll even vote.

It wouldn't do much. The Democrat Party is now controlled by the far left. A moderate would get chewed up and spit out by the core base.

The Republican Party was just as bad. I honestly feel, just as I had hoped, that the last election woke the party up. If the last election had been a GOP victory, or at the very least, a political draw, Rudy would not be the favorite this far into the dance.

Though...Kurt Warner for President has a nice sound to it :D

This is very likely a very real possibility.

I could see Obama becoming a Congressional puppet

Hilary has the experience that she wouldn't fall into that trap, but there are still numerous reasons not to vote for her. These candidates truly do suck :csad:

Well the South and parts of Middle America aren't going to have a "colored" running their country.....no woman neither.....

Can anyone specificy why Hillary sucks? I mean from the videos I see of her she just puts me off sorta like John Mccaine... she comes across as really waffly and just gives really really bad vibes like she doesn't knwo what she's doing

To alot of people she is unsettling....she doesn't inspire confidence in the voting public....none of them do

Because people have a hard time believing the things she says. She always seems to be saying what she THINKS people want to hear, that will offend the fewest people and be the most popular opinion, rather than saying what she actually thinks on the subject. She's disgenuine.

It isnt so much that Hilary isnt a good chouice as much she is a fake. Her critism of Obama's no conditions statement was big news and now she is saying shed do the same??

Well if that isn't Biased B.S. I don't know what is.:whatever:

As it stands right now I am an Obama supporter, but there is not a canidate on the Right, or Left that can possibly screw up this country more than Bush already has.

I took the liberty of creating one thread to contain the news surrounding the '08 election. I'm sorry If I miss some obscure candidate you plan on voting for, just push the "other" button.
Obama and no one else..........Jeez, let try a new direction:hyper: :word:

I would love to see a black man as President, but Obama doesn't do anything for me....I don't believe in him...charisma only gets you so far....

I repeat, the South and some of Middle America......"ain't gonna have no colored runnin their country"........
tough @$@#$@#$!!

Yea-ha, let's give the election to the highest bidder.........again

I never understood if Americans think Bush is a bit simple then why vote him in twice? To my understanfing he's not too liked by America?

That said we did the same with Thatcher in the 80's.

Clinton is going to be the Dem nominee....she is not going to choose a minority like Obama or Richardson to be VP ( a woman + minority = landslide loss), she isn't going to pick Kerry's seconds (Edwards)....that will be going to some military leader (Nunn, Wesley Clark)...or some Midwest Governor/Senator (Bayh)

The Republican side....it seems it will most likely be Romney. Romney is securing the pro-life base behind him, Dobson is determined to prevent Rudy, a pro-choicer from winning the nomination....Thompson has a chance, but he seems too lazy and he can't build a base with Dobson securing it for Romney. No matter what you think of Romney (boring, flipflopping opportunistic businessman), he has the foundation and style to win the primaries.

Romney vs. Clinton would be interesting in Michigan, where Romney's old man was governor but it's gone for Democrats since Bush Sr. v. Clinton.

Romney vs. Clinton...whoever wins, we lose. :csad:

I mean, we have an insincere, insider, politician vs an insincere, insider, politican with a really stupid name. I guess I'll vote Hilary because I don't want my president named after a piece of baseball equipment :csad:
