As we all should be. Because, after all, your wife is amazing:

First half by far. The second half didn't exactly bore me but neither was it exciting or emotionally engaging to me. It really felt kind if empty, and I think that's the reason many critics thought it was soulless - the second half beats you in the head so relentlessly that I almost forgot about the emotional character moments in the first half. Those moments should have been more evenly distributed throughout the film. Instead it's like 2 different movies within the same one, cut so cleanly right in the middle.
Really touch choice, I love both sections. I'd say slight slight edge to 1st half, especially Krypton.
That world that Snyder created was one of the best worlds I've ever seen in all of sci-fi movies and television. I loved that world so much (and I went int expecting to hate the Krypton part - as it's usually the dullest portion of the Superman origin) but Snyder really blew my socks off with that world. I could have easily spent an entire hour exploring Krypton and its' history.
In fact, I want a Krypton prequel movie.
Right after the smallville battle, it's all pretty much down hill for me. I really like the film, despite its MAJOR problems with many things. Go figure.
The fight with Zod was actually 5 minutes long, but whatever.
