If A24 plays it right this could be Domingo's year with Sing Sing.

Also kinda hoping Parthenope takes off and Oldman coattails to a Supporting nom.

And he’s right. :o

You know something, I’m still pissed off that Julianne Moore’s lisp-work got no recognition at the Oscars.

Good. At least it's a step in the right direction.

Long overdue. The only downside is that with these added categories, they're likely to cut a few from the broadcast in favor of announcing certain winners earlier to reduce the runtime.

The length of the broadcast might not matter in 4 years when ABC's contract to host the Oscars is up. There's speculation that it might go to Netflix or another streamer.

Yeah, he kinda hinted at it a while back when he was deciding to end his show in 2 years.

Some candidates that seem plausible:

Conan O'Brien
Trevor Noah
Hugh Jackman and Ryan Renolds
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler
Steve Martin and Martin Short
Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph
Andy Cohen

I'd be happy with any of these but you'd have to pair Andy Cohen with Anderson Cooper and alcohol would have to be involved. :o

Oh, that would be an incredible pairing. Most of those are good, but Martin and Short are still well known by a lot of actors and viewers who grew up watching them decades ago, but they'd also probably attract younger viewers who may just know them from Only Murders in the Building.

It's such a good pick that I don't expect ABC to go with it.

Venice raves for The Brutalist. Career high marks for Adrien Brody and Guy Pearce.

I've finally seen Sing Sing and to me, Colman Domingo is currently the front runner for best actor. It's his to lose but I hope he wins.
