My interpretation of the first part of that is "If you watched it and didn't like it you should watch it again because you did it wrong." Monsieur Audiard, I was nice and stoned when I watched it and I'm pretty sure that's the only acceptable way to watch it because I couldn't possibly fathom seeing it sober.

I saw an interview with some Oscar pundit on TikTok who was predicting that Demi would win Best Actress because "it was her time". Is it though? Just because she's been in Hollywood for 40+ years doesn't make her any more entitled to an award than Mikey Madison. Like, don't get me wrong, Demi turned in an Oscar worthy performance in The Substance but this is her first nomination. It's not like she's Amy Adams where it's reached "For Christ's sake, just give her an Oscar already" levels.

Needless to say, I think Demi is taking it but I'm firmly planted in the "Mikey Madison should win" camp.
