The All Things Flash Thread. - Part 2

If it’s so good there would naturally be talk about a sequel. But yeah if Muschietti does more with DC may not be the sequel. I mean the film he made is straight up not interested in exploring the world of its titular character.
If I were Gunn I’d think Flash of all the DC properties has so much to offer that hasn’t been on film yet. He has a rogues gallery good for at least a trilogy like Raimi’s Spider-Man. But his new DCU is gonna focus on more Superman and Batman to start.
Yeah Flash has been done on TV twice but Batman has been done way more. We waited so long for a Flash solo movie just to go back to Burton’s Batman. I don’t care how good it is, even if I like it it’ll be disappointing.

"According to THR, Tom Cruise had a meeting with Warner Bros Discovery CEO David Zaslav last month, and when Zaslav sang the praises of The Flash, Cruise asked if he could see it. A Warner Bros. employee brought The Flash over to Cruise’s home and stayed with the actor until he had finished watching it. Sources told THR that the actor enjoyed the movie so much that he called director Andy Muschietti to rave about his work, saying something along the lines of “[The Flash is] everything you want in a movie” and “this is the kind of movie we need now.”"
Not a fan of Cruise, but that's good to hear.

Hmmm Borys Kit deleted his own tweet breaking the Tom Cruise thing…
Hmm... Interesting.

It’s doesn’t look like he’s deleted anything.

the THR article is still up but his tweet has been deleted.

It shows the tweet as unavailable in both posts for me. And when I click it, it says it was deleted.

One is a sequel and the other is not but Shazam Fury of the Gods and Flash are looking similar in other notable ways. Both released in 2023. Both about, as Shazam points out, characters with similar costumes. Both use made up villains and ignore the deep rogues gallery both characters have from the comics because rogues from the comics supposedly don’t fit with the story.

This is weird because I can still see it on his feed.

Twitter has been a dumpster fire of functionality since Musk took over and started ruining its infrastructure, so I am guessing that is what is going on?

Tom Cruise for Lex Luthor please Mr. Gunn.

I’d love for him to play a villainous character again. To this day my favorite role of his is Vincent from Collateral
I know, right? He was fantastic in that. Just don't make him a corny or silly villain. He needs to stay serious like he was in that.

that's some awesome artwork by bermejo.

maaaaan, i'm still interested in this film, but i can imagine, if ezra wasn't such a crazy mfer, i'd be hyped beyond belief for this movie.

but it's odd how we're all mostly excited to see keaton's batman in what's supposed to be a flash movie. lol

I cant believe how hyped I am for this. I've said this before but I'm kind of considering this movie the closing epilogue of the DCEU. A (hopefully) good note to close this ten year shared universe on. I feel like its also kind of like an unofficial Justice League 2. Ben, Gal and Ezra are in it with other DC characters so this'll be as close to a Justice League follow up as we're going to get for a long time. lol

I'm exactly the same!

Bermejo has been smart enough to have his Flash avoiding any likeness with Miller so the piece can age well... :funny:
It really does look more like Joseph Morgan than it does Ezra.
