The All Things Flash Thread. - Part 2

The new trailer was great, but surprisingly Batfleck was my favorite part of it. Despite my reservations about this movie, it looks like they are actually giving Ben some strong material to work with.

He is definitely going to make the most out of his small appearance.

it seems that a lot of people are ready to forgive Miller even though Tokata's parents still have no idea where or in what state their daughter is.

I have seen no one here or on the web who is in any way forgiving Ezra.

I'm honestly starting to tire of them as well, thats why it takes big event films like this to catch my interest.

I honestly have movie fatigue. I have almost no interest in any of the stuff that is coming out...let alone paying for it. I look o the theater web sites and just roll my eyes at 90% of the crap Hollywood puts out.

I'd like to see a villain who just wants to snuff at ALL life. Pure evil with no rhythm or reason as to why.
Darkseid would have been great but I doubt they touch him now.

Yes, I desperately wanna see this too.

Still not seeing any forgiving. Saying they are good in a film or that their treatment is going well is not forgiveness. Sorry but that is a stretch.
Exactly. I think Miller's a piece of crap. But if the performance is good I'll have no trouble saying so. It won't mean my opinion on everything that went on has changed in any way.

Of course! :batty::db::db::db::batty:

After all the hype this movie is generating and IF it hits it big at the box office, how on earth can WB turn their back on Keaton?

The DC Elseworlds brand is made for some kind of continuation with him. Beyond or otherwise. There's still more money to be made with Keaton.

Absolutely. Money talks, and it would be so easy to do. As you say, the means is already there. And I hope he negotiates the mother of all deals. He's always great to watch. He's given so much entertainment over his career. He truly deserves this. I could not be happier for the guy!

Yeah, same for me. a CBM has to be something special for me to really l
WB UK sent out an e-mail promoting the trailer and included a poll for the character people are most excited to see...

Poor Flash!
The power of Keaton! I'm so happy we are gonna be able to see him don the cowl one last time. Bale will always be my favorite and the GOAT, but Keaton is #2 and i never imagined we'd get a chance to see him again in this role. I'm hyped!!

I'm treating this as the last time he'll don the Bat-suit again as well... and really, it's an out of this world bonus I never thought would happen. I'm just happy to see him in suit again.

Still, it would be mighty fun to see him in something more Batman-centric, more toned down, focusing on his Wayne in his 60's. Whether that be Batman Beyond or a Batman Max original series.

Throw Pfeiffer in there, maybe even Billy Dee Williams, I think it would generate some interest.

Also, did anyone catch this? Bring this logo back I say, always liked it.

i think ezra looks like they put in their best performance for the flash in this.

i liked them in the snyder cut and thought they did a good job there too.

it's probably very different from the flash we know from the comics, but i feel it works for that world they've built here.

that is the part where i separate the art from the artist.
just looking at the merits of ezra's work by itself.

that being said, no we should not forgive them YET.
they need to be first held accountable for all the harm they've caused.
and once they've been rehabilitated and shown remorse for their actions, then we can start talking about forgiveness.

but ultimately, forgiveness is up to actual people who were directly harmed by ezra.

This is still my favorite DC Comics logo.

It's so wild to me how this project started out as a Buddy-Cop BLM story about Barry and Cyborg taking on police abuse directed by Rick Famuyiwa and now it's a gonzo Flashpoint adaptation w/the future of DC on film hinging on it; returning Michael Keaton and Michael Shannon; and starring an actor who was on the run from the cops for assault, burglary and kidnapping less than a year ago.
