But if Jai is the villain for Flash's origin film it would make sense given how Flash's cameo in Suicide Squad went down but also his interaction with Captain Boomerang in said film it makes sense for him to be the opening villain for the eventual Flash solo franchise to at least build it up

Boomer just wouldn't work as the main villain for an entire movie.

Then who would you suggest to be the villain the main antagonist for Flash's origin film remember this is his origin film to start the whole franchise off out of the gate

Hope this is true.

if you take the productions of Dc will see that they usually begin filming 15 to 18 months before the premiere , so in January 2017 is likely to start filming and the film is scheduled for March 2018

If it's still going to be taking elements from BTTF it could be Digger Harkness Sr. (the first Captain Boomerang and the father of the Boomerang from Suicide Squad) still played by Jai Courtney in the 90's. Sort of like Biff. And the main villain is Reverse-Flash who went to the early 90's to kill Barry's folks or to stop him from existing.

Mirror Master or Professor Zoom, with side appearances of Captain Cold and Heatwave, and maybe one other rogue like the weather wizard or his brother or both before he become a villain to possibly set up the rogues for the second or third movie.

This is pretty much what I was thinking.
Depending on how many movies we get, I think the rogues could be scattered and introduced throughout the movies as cameos or side villains and it could lead up to a rogue team up movie.
I want Reverse Flash for the first movie, Grodd for the second, and a team up of rogues for the third.
We already have Boomer's intro in SS.
I think three flash solo movies could work well to introduce the 4-5 other rogues that would work best in a movie.

Gorilla Grodd vs Flash on the big screen :hmr:

Flash 2: Gorilla Warfare

I'm warming up to the idea of Grodd, but I don't think he should be in the first movie.

Damn I forgot about Grodd, well now I am torn as I want to see Mirror Master as the lead villain for a film before his team up with the rogues.

The fact that the Flash show hasn't used Mirror Master yet makes me think the movie could have possibly called dibs.

Edit: Just saw the rumor that the show is supposedly looking to cast Mirror Master

Ezra Miller on the Flash solo film

“I think there’s just an intention to make something extremely fun and something superhuman and something deeply human,” Miller said. “It’s the thing we’re all trying to do, but I think Rick’s mind and his heart are in an excellent place, and his expertise as a filmmaker, as evidenced by Dope, all come together as very exciting factors to me.”

And on our Iris West, Kiersey Clemons

“Kiersey is amazing,” he said. “I had the opportunity to read with her and do some explorative acting in our chemistry read ... the results of these experiments clearly were positive. I’m just deeply excited about what these people carry in their hearts, and I’m excited about the radical intention that everybody seems to be bringing to the genesis chamber of this film.”

I don't really want to see Grodd in a film. I feel like there's only so much you can do with that character before he starts coming off silly. The Reverse Flash seems like the best fit, but they'll have to put some serious thought into differentiating him from the TV version. Because they really did a bang up job with him there. However, Zoom really sucked, so maybe they should just skip straight to him. It wouldn't be hard to do a better version of that character.

Dude do you only know the TV series?
Grodd has been an awesome villain in the cartoons and comics, they just need evolve him.. I don't want to see a Grodd origin story, just mention it or something.. if they ever do him on film

Grodd is my favorite Flash villain and that's saying a lot, so I'll be mad if we don't see him on the big screen. The show is nice, but there's a lot more they can do with him. Especially with a much bigger budget.

I just realized we know a little more about the Aquaman movie than the Flash. They have the leads, Willem Dafoe and even the rumored villain. But if the movie is indeed going to begin filming in January, we should get a lot of news in the coming months.

The Flash I think the villain if it isn't Grodd then it will be either Mirror Master or Professor Zoom especially if they want to start off the franchise in the right direction start it off on the right foot then they definitely need to use one or the other but Reverse Flash I would save for the sequel and Grodd I would save for a threequel

I used to think Grodd was to weird to work on film.

But the last two planet of the Apes movies have looked really good.

Erza Miller says his Flash will meet Grant Gustin's Flash within the speed force.

Hmm, if they have established the rogues already by Grodd's movie it could be interesting to see them team up with flash to stop an invading Gorilla Army.

Yesterday i was watching the heats of the men's 100 metre sprint at the Olympics. After Usain Bolt's race someone in the crowd held up a sign with a drawing showing an exhausted looking Flash (in his classic outfit) chasing Bolt.:woot:

Too bad the (BBC) commentator thought it was Iron Man...

Looks like Barry has a new partner...

my money the bird is faster :D

Not advocating Grodd for the villain, but I still think he's cool.

Cyborg to appear in "The Flash" movie (EXCLUSIVE) http://bit.ly/2aZ1Myk

Cyborg will appear in “The Flash,” sources tell Variety.

It’s not known how substantial a role the hero will play in the film. But it’s another signal of DC Comics and Warner Bros.’ ambitions to build a sprawling, cinematic universe to compete with Marvel Studios, one where heroes and villains will pop up in solo spinoff adventures, as well as lend support to other costumed allies. Cyborg’s appearance in “The Flash” and next year’s “Justice League” are intended to whet audiences’ interest in the character, building toward a potential, standalone “Cyborg” film in 2020.

The film will begin shooting this year in London, and is expected to open in 2018.

Really WB didn't just go to Rick and say

"Hey we want you to put Cyborg in your movie now"
