I have only been saying this since May 4th, 2007. Thank you. So much for that.

Also, he wasn't an ''Emo'' lol, just had his bangs in his face.

Yeah i was going to say emo kids are the opposite of bad boys. He was more ******** than emo.

Not sure which word you're using, really...but yeah, more of an ass than a ''emo"

If he were "Emo", he would've been cutting himself whilst listening to deathcore or something lol

What does money have to do with why SM4 wasn't made? SM3 is the highest grossing SM movie.

I actually like Emo Peter in Spider-Man 3. Peter Parker really shouldn't have a bad bone in his body so I kinda picture Emo Peter being what Peter Parker envisions being a bad boy as.

That is a fantastic perspective of it. I have never thought about it that way.

I don't think emo is anyone's idea of a bad boy.

It just made Peter Parker look like an idiot.

Raimi didn't like Venom so he purposely ruined the origin. It's that simple.

You'd be surprised.

I agree with your second point. As for your third point I had those theories about Shane Black and The Mandarin.

Argubly TASM would never have happened if there was no Venom in SM3.
No Venom>Better SM3>More money>SM4>No TASM

Why would SM3 magically become a great movie by removing one character.

Maybe Raimi just doesn't know how to write Spider-man movies.

Well if they increased the budget only for it to make less than the first movie...it's kind of a disappointment. If TA2 merely makes $1 billion it will also be a disappointment despite the fact that it's a huge amount of money.

Don't see how 700 Million is a disappointment.

It would mean that TASM2 will make less than the first movie, with a bigger budget. I don't see why it won't be a disappointment if this movie only grosses 700 mil.

I don't think a billion would be a disapotment that is 238 million more then the first one but yeah don't thin it will happened now.

700 would be a big dissapotment that would be 62 million less then the first one with less big movies going up agest then the first one and they spent more on this one then the first one.

I don't get how it would be a loss finacley. The movie had a budget of 255 and 190 marketing that is 445. So if the movie made 500 and theaters get about 12% that would be 440 to the studio so dosnt that many that the movie only needs to make about 500 to break even? So wouldn't 700 be a 200 profite? But the big thing is it would be the second spider man movie to go down and if you think about it back with spider man 1-3 the moves made more and that was years ago and with out 3d. Those movies with infalatuion and 3d would have made around 1.4 billion so intreams of tickets sold you are talking about like a 40-50% drop that is hugh!

Where did you get that split from? Studios get roughly 50% of domestic takings. Less from international, and sometimes way less like China. In China, they are looking at a 25-30% return.

I alrease heard that movie theaters only get to keep 10-15% of the tickets sales depending on the movie. I have never heard about the other things you have said. I alrease thought that the studio got the other 85-90% of ticket sales.

I don't know who told you that, but it is completely wrong. There was a major dispute last year between I believe Disney and the theater chains right before IM3 came out. I believe Disney was trying to get a premium on their films which was in the range of 55%.

Opening weekends do vary quite a bit. Studios sometimes make quite a higher percentage on opening weekends. But it also goes down the longer a film is in theaters.

Theaters only get 10-15% of ticket sales so if the studio only gets half where is that other domestic ticket sales going to. 50% plus the what the teaters gets to keep of 10-15 is only 60-65% where is that other 40-35% going to then?
