chances are gwen's death would probably be shot on a sound stage... 1) because they're not going to shoot on top of the real bridge, 2) there they actually have control over who sees what

I seriously hope they're not having Electro kill Gwen. They've already established Oscorp and Norman in the universe, and if Electro takes Goblin's thunder, then there's no point in introducing the Green Goblin to the series.
Besides, this movie already seems very ambitious with all it's introducing, don't cram the Death of Gwen Stacy into the 3rd act.

So I just saw the photos. I'm at a loss for words right now.

Why can't the Goblin be in this movie? Maybe we are seriously underestimating Electro's role in this.

Theoritically it can be done fairly quick. Have Osborn be a background character, have a few scenes with him interacting with Harry, watching survillance tapes of
Peter and seeing that he is close to Gwen, searching Gwen Stacey's name on
the web and finding out she's
Captain Stacey's daughter, which would make getting her address simple for him, injecting himself with the formula, changing into GG, then Peter hearing that Gwen's been kidnapped, webswinging to bridge, death scene, boom end credits. Most of that can happen in a few scenes throughout the movie.

just because there's alot of characters and things going on doesn't mean the film will be cluttered at all... it's all about establishing a universe. We know MJ isn't in the film very long.. her inclusion is just minor and a stepping stone for later.

Rhino is not a major villain nor should he ever be treated as such. He's a grunt. And seems to be the reason Spidey acknowledges Max as a human being...

so that's 2 characters that really have no large portion. I think it's also safe to assume Norman will have while important roles, not alot of screen time in this film.

I think it's also safe to say this film (if gwen dies, which it's looking like she will) will end on a sad note. I think Peter will have defeated Electro... and the day is saved.. only to have Gwen snatched and killed as he meets his arch enemy for the first time.

i see it all as very workable. I also think we may be lead to believe Harry might be the goblin

Electro is still the main focus of the film, but that doesn't mean other characters cant shift in an out. Webb said a while ago, they're establishing spidey's universe

This.I am glad we could agree on something.

I'm thinking that Norman has Spider-Man or possibly even Gwen under surveillance over the course of the movie. Perhaps the tracker in this case is Colm Feore's character, as he was apparently seen on set. He's watching Gwen, or Spider-Man, and is able in this scene to confirm Spider-Man's identity. He reports back to Osborn. So this is nothing more than a tease of Gwen's impending death. And there will be something about this location, something that happens here, that will motivate Norman to use it in the future as the place of Gwen's demise. Just a thought.
