Strange that half-way through filming and Felicity Jones hasn't shown up her nose.

A good chunk of this movie has been shot in studio up until now when the weather is warmer and shooting exteriors is more feasible, so that's likely why we haven't seen her at all.

Also, her role is likely small and she may have filmed already. On the flipside, she was filming another project back in March, so she could have not filmed yet.

Half way? I thought they're about 2/3rds done now. How many days are they filming? They're on like Day 65 right? I don't think its a 130 day shoot. Thatd be a loong movie. Or like 1 hr will be cut lol.

They film until July. There approx 150 days of filming. With that said, a very large chunk of that (about 2 months) has been spent shooting a sequence on set of a replicated Times Square.

That sounds great. More practical stuff! Obv this scene will be half CG Spidey and real Spidey. (Cue captain obv joke)

So the real Giamatti is probably shooting today.

That's what I assume. Surprised no photos have surfaced yet. Maybe it was hard to get a good shot.

I think that if a movie has something to tell the viewer, it has to last whatever it needs to tell it without rushes.

True, a film should last however long it takes to tell a story, but a film with an intricate story can be in told well and efficiently in 2 hrs or less without being rushed. Depending on how the information is presented and how everything is edited and paced.

So here's a little theory I came up with that might support Gwen dying in this film.

In the ASM commentary, Marc Webb mentioned how the opening scene of a film should be a metaphor for a the film itself. In this case, it was Peter looking for his father, playing hide & seek and eventually losing his parents.

We know there's going to be a plane crash sequence, and most likely it'll be the opening scene, right?

So I figure it'll be representative of the story in which the consequence and sacrifices of someone who tries to be a hero and responsible suffers; in this case death and loss. Thoughts?
