I'm glad they aren't just trying to make it a trilogy and wrap up everything in three films. Especially if they are going to kill off Gwen Stacy, and then move onto MJ and such.

If they're picking up such close dates, I'm guessing they're already picking up scripts and potential directors for the sequels (if Marc Webb leaves).

It seems as if there is some sort of blueprint or layout for the franchise. They are either building up to one huge Green Goblin finale, or the Sinister Six perhaps?

I wonder what they are going to do with the parents storyline. We know they are scientists, so that is taken from Ultimate Spider-Man. But they can't work for SHIELD since this is SONY... so IDK??

I KNEW it!! I knew four films would have to be made. Yes, this is awesome and good news. I doubt Marc Webb will stay for the fourth one, but I'm sure the cast will stay the same.

There is one thing that worries me though. If you look at past comic book films, all of the CBM sequels that were considered to be jaw-dropping awesome were released at least 3 years after the previous film. This worries me a bit that they might rush them out a bit, which I hope is not the case since I want to get that TDK quality Spider-Man film.

Also, it appears that, unless Gwen dies in the second film, the rumors of Gwen's apartment number 2016 being a foreshadow of her death may indeed be true.

Yeah, you could make that case for TDK, but you could also make a case against that claim with TDKR...

Spider-Man 2 came out 2 years after Spider-Man 1, I don't think this is a problem.

Nathan Fillion says he wants to play Scorpion. We all know what happened last time someone said they wanted to play a villain in a Spider-Man movie.

That actually might be the case.

Assuming that after the 4th movie they'd go James Bond with it and recharge the cast, they'd probably have to go a different story direction as well. Kind of clean up the parents story and move on.
