Could be wishful thinking but I think most of the cast is sticking. I think recent cast that joined on - Shailene, Jamie, Paul, etc. might've been told that they might stick around until TASM4. Doesn't mean they're each gonna have 30 minute roles in each movie, but their characters are involved.I still think Gwen will die in this upcoming sequel rather than the third.
The fourth could be a number of things. It's way too far away and that creates limits. Actors or especially Webb, may not want to commit for practically a whole decade with a franchise. Therefore, ASM4 could just be a working title for a new story arc...like the Bond idea. Or it could be another reimagining; what do we know? Or it is indeed a fourth film continuing with all the same characters/actors. But that is such a commitment for actors to stick with one franchise for that long.
There is no way everyone is sticking around...no pun intended...for that long. I don't believe that. Not even Andrew Garfield. As much of a Spidey fan he may be, at some point he'll want to break new ground and diverge. I know I would.
There's a difference between being grateful and being selfish. One can leave a franchise knowing it got him or her off the ground with clear acknowledgement.
In a perfect world, my idea for Black Cat was essentially this..
-After Gwen's death, peter is more secluded than ever, he sort of gives up being spider-man. Until he runs into a Cat Burglar, (maybe she stole something personal from him or someone he knows (like harry)
(This mourning and black cat combo i'd also ideally include the black suit with, which sort of corrupts peter like a drug, and latches on to him in his most depressing moment of his life. this story arc would also parallel Harry's drug story... but spidey's suit really wouldn't show it's ugly side till about the end (the symbiote saga i'd make a trilogy out of, but 2 films would work if needed as well) )
-Felicia essentially get's him into "peter parker no more" mode, where he's basically Spider-Man full time, the cusp is when he learns how irresponsible to the Peter Parker life he's been, flaking on MJ and Harry and May and what not... his school work, etc..
-Peter figures with Felicia, she can defend herself, and is safe for him to be around. But he's still extremely skeptical of keeping her safe, and refuses to show him his identity. This later causes a rift between the two of them, and Felicia decides to tackle the films villain on her own, but is nearly killed in the process.
-In the end, Peter learns that no matter Peter or Spider-man, Or hero or civilian... people can always get hurt and it's not necessarily always because of him. He also learns to balance the life of Peter and Spidey more properly.
-the twist at the end of course is that Felicia calls things off with peter, leaves the city, and hints that there's probably another girl he knows that he should be dating. and that she's not the settling down type.
-Black Cat is sorta a quasi rebound.. they never really have much romance, she just flirts quite alot and there's a sense of comfort Peter finds in her... But it's not a full fledged relationship (or hook up) like they've been in the books
The plot will go like this...
After a love triangle story between Gwen Stacey and Mary Jane and Spiderman doing his typical Spiderman quests, Spiderman has to save the city from Electro who is controlling a power plant with his electric powers. If Spiderman does not stop Electro within a certain amount of time, Electro will destroy the city.
This is basically what I expect from ASM3, particularly in regards to the Black Suit.
Peter will gain the Black Suit when he's at his lowest point. That black suit will be what helps him overcome 5 of Sinister Six members, ala TSSM (Norman being the last left).
I would also like to see him finally confront Ben's Killer and, with the Black suit in tow, nearly kills him. It would be then that he sheds to suit and, to an extent, come to terms with Gwen's death and his actions since. "With Great Power" and all that.
Maybe they are really going for the Sinister Six then.

Indeed. I think they can squeeze in a forth Garfield flick.Tobey & Kirsten were gonna stick around for SM4
The thing is that they were asking for a stupid quantity of money, something like 50 million $ for two films or something like that.Tobey & Kirsten were gonna stick around for SM4
I wonder what those columns are supposed to be!??
I can't help but think Gwen will still be around until the end of number 3 leading into the now announced 4th and 5th installments with MJ as Peters love interest.
Kind of like "The Gwen Stacy Trilogy" then "The Mary Jane Trilogy"
Or maybe not!!
I thought Oscorp related. Maybe not. The fact that we're getting some type up of "power" environment is exciting!
Btw, "Lerman" rhymes with "Vermin". Dun dun dun
That's exactly what I thought.![]()
