Holy ****, Peter looks horrible in that image. I'm really not digging the haircut or what he is wearing plus it makes him look a lot older.

What was wrong with his hair in the first movie? This was just spot on :csad:.

I can take one look at this picture and see Peter Parker without doing any research. Can't say the same thing about Peter in those set photos.

I really really hope that won't be his hair in the movie. Also, not a fan of the idea that he has a car. Not that it goes against the character or anything but it just feels really weird to have Peter with a car, a lot more than even Peter with a skateboard.

And I have a feeling that if he does have a car, it will kinda just be there like how the skateboard was just there in ASM 1. The skateboard in the first movie didn't exactly hurt the character or make him less of a nerd or anything like that but it didn't add anything to the character either. I felt it was just there kinda like filler material.

My God you people whine a lot.
Change happens in all sequels, stop nitpicking on every single thing, Jesus it's MOVIE. Everything has already been decided, all you people ever do is sike yourselves out or never keep positive attitudes, or think that what YOU want matters most. Guess what? This isn't your movie, it's the director's movie. Oh WOW he has a car! And he's a senior, it doesn't have to add ANYTHING to the character, but it doesn't seem to create a situation which tightens the relationship between Peter and MJ, so it isn't useless. Damn you people sound like cry babies, just be happy you're getting a movie, and if worse comes to worse and it turns out bad, then so what? There'll be another one, and another one, and another one, and another one and so on and so forth. People on this forum, no
the people on the Internet, are so freaking jaded. This is a general statement.

@Gueststar. My point exactly. It seems like regardless of what is done there's always a problem with something. I like the hair. But that's just me. Watch and they cut it all off like in the House of M for the third movie people will say it's too short lol.

Meh, I don't like his hair. Huge on top and buzzed on the side. Looks pretty bad. I didn't mind it in the first film. I liked how it was long and messy. The buzzed sides just don't look good with a long messy top.

I don't know if any of you observed this, but in the video of the scene, Andrew captures the movements he possessed in the first film. The wave of the arm, it's just, I don't know, it's physical acting stuff.

I totally noticed that too, the way his arm flails, love little things like that :yay:

Well actually..if you look at like ASM #688..Giuseppe Camuncoli draws Peter very modern somewhat similar to what we see above. Style wise I mean.
Camuncoli is actually one of my favorites in terms of how he draws Peter.

You know what kind of mentality I have? It's a movie, I hope it's good. That's it.

I certainly hope thats a general statement. Shikamaru rarely complains. I think he's earned a bit of jadedness.

Besides, can't we all have our own opinions?

Oh I really don't like the hair.

A big 'hmm' for me so far. But still, I wasn't impressed by the first set pics of TASM either.

Yeah!! I noticed that too. And when he throws his arm in dissappointment, he walks just like the first movie. Just his..walk or whatever haha.

I'm not saying you shouldn't have your own opinions, but all I ever read in this forum and anywhere on the Internet is people whinning, and a lot, not
all, is of pure ignorance since NO ONE has seen the actual movie, or the belief that you know or have thought of something the people who spend hours, weeks and even months in long meetings discussing things such as this. Nothing is going to please everyone, but some people seem to have their eyes set on one thing, when they should keep an open mind, and not jump to conclusions.

@Craigdfan.
I would like to see her all dialed up like that. I bet people will make an about face lol.

don't like the whining, go over to the costume thread. Or check out the casting threads for Dane Dehaan or Felicity Jones. What I generally see is praise when the crew makes a decision fans respond well to and criticism when a left-field or alienating choice is made. And yes, for those ones we are forced to wait until the movie comes out to make a final decision.

Without all that criticism from us, critics, and the GA would we really ever get great (superhero) films?

And that should absolve it of criticism? Yes, no one has seen the film yet. And what we're seeing is only poor set pics of the costume (same as with the TASM one). At the end of the day, only when the film comes out can we all make a fair judgement. But all we have to go on is the set pics, which, IMO, don't show the costume in a good way.

Nothing wrong with that. People who just hate for hates sake, now that's silly. Or love for loves sake.

Here's a videoclip of the scene! Looks like Peter's car breaks down and he gives up trying to fix it and MJ offers him a ride to school??
I think it's so awesome to see the actual filming of a scene and then see that same scene in the theater. Maybe it's just me, but I just find that extremely awesome.

I've got to say this, you aren't a true director or artist if you don't alienate people. And about the critics and GA, you know there are
some directors and artists who don't care what they think? They do what they believe to be right. There's no formula for making a good movie, and you can't always listen to the GA, who will sometimes eat whatever is set on their plate. You can take them into account, but you shouldn't allow them to dictate decisions. If you care about the character, then do what you believe is necessary to make the best film possible.

Actually, this is my first time "whining" in a good while.

I don't usually find much to complain about in the new Spider-Man movies. But the haircut just looks stupid.

Now, does Peter having this haircut take away from the overall movie? No. Does it make him act differently? No. Does it change his relationship with MJ? No. However, why fix something that isn't broken? The only reason why something like that haircut would annoy me is because everything else about Peter will (presumably) be spot on.

And like I said, I will reserve final judgement till I see the movie. This is just my current impression based on the info released. I admit that I could be completely wrong about both Peter's look and Shailene as MJ.
