I wonder if Marc Webb reads our posts at night![]()
I wonder if they're returning to the store in a flashback?
Then Marc replied..think bigger
if sony did connect spidey to the MCU when would this become public news? surely it would made the headlines and help the film if infomation like this was released?
i suppose that says its probably not happening
And not to bash on Raimi or his trilogy because I love them, but Webb seems to have a better head on his shoulders in looking at everything in a bigger, broader sense. It's like a chess board. He's moving pieces forward, setting up for something astounding. With the inclusion of two villains this movie could fall on its face and everything he hoped and dreamed of doing with a Spider-Man sequel could prove disastrous but hopefully he'll have better editors this time out because that was my only complaint with "ASM" was the editing. Everything else worked for me.
Probably when they decide to use Spidey in Avengers. Or maybe they'll include references in the movies and that'll make it official.
He'll be replaced. They're all replaced eventually.

I don't think he'll show up in Avengers or anything but I'm beginning to think that tying this series to the MCU somehow is pretty likely. Maybe just through easter eggs like the scrapped Oscorp appearance, or hell maybe even a Nick Fury cameo. But I doubt they'd go farther than that.
The Amazing Spider-Man 3, starring Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Kirsten Dunst and Mary Jane Watson, James Franco as Harry Osborn, et cetera...
and directed by Sam Raimi
