Watching The Amazing Spider-Man commentary was the most painful thing ever. Marc Webb had many interesting things to say about making the film, and Arad just spouted stupid ****ing nonsense. So in a way it balanced it.

New theory I've just read from a fan.

So... theory.

People are saying that the Venom symbiote is in TASM 2 because of the locker. BUT there are noticeable differences between USM's scanrio and TASM 2's scenario. For one, the locker in USM clearly is labeled BROCK. In TASM 2, it's just the number 14. For another, the symbiote is in the University in USM, but this locker appears to be in Oscorp.

SO... what if instead of the symbiote... and with Harry swapped for Eddie... and the number 14 being the number of the issue where the Green Goblin first appeared...

What if that holds the serum that turns Norman into the Goblin... and Peter's dad made it?

i also think they may pull a fast one with us.. making us think it's harry the whole time when it's not.

...nah he was cool! He was casually walking around the set with ease. Laid back, he seemed on the outside. I'm sure his brain is going in a million different directions intrinsically though.

I haven't heard the commentary, but my favourite part of this idiots promotional talks is:

During the Raimi years: "What makes Sam such a good fit for this movie is, in a very real way, he IS Peter Parker."
"What makes Tobey the only choice to play Spider-Man is because when you see him and talk to him, he IS Peter Parker."

Now with Webb:

"Marc had to do this movie. I said to the studio , he IS Peter Parker."
"You meet Andrew, and you think of course, he IS Peter Parker."

And, through out all this time (the last 10 years the best part: "I always wanted to make a Spider-Man picture, and I love being involved in the franchise, because, growing up all the way to now... I am Peter Parker."

Yeah, though it isn't exactly like in SM1, because we never really saw MJ as an actual waitress, just leaving the place, which was a dinner, while the new place looks like a coffee shop or something. That seems like it would suit a teenage MJ.

Oh Avi Arad is in involved on the commentary on ASM? Looks like I will never listen to it. NEVER.

When I got the Blu-Ray and watched the special features and saw Avi Arad appeared and he opened his trap I said "Shut UP" and took the disc out....

Silly I know, but I can't stand Avi Arad at all.

The worst part of the commentary is you can tell Webb and Arad were not all together recording it, so they just chose parts of each to include. I am sure there is a full length web commentary of just webb somewhere.
