Blue Ghost rider for like 2 minutes lol black and blue naturally go together, green and yellow
wouldn't look good on Jaime Foxx, he needs to wear something that compliments his darker complexion, bright colors wouldn't do that, that would just make him
look darker. If his lightening was green and yellow it would reflect on him, making him appear even darker. Blue is a lot more complimentary to him, plus lightening typically has a blue
tinge to it once it's outside, so his powers remain somewhat grounded in reality and makes him more organic and how someone would look if they gained powers such as that. Hell, it's blue in Infamous.

I don't think you understand how color works.... Higher contrast makes a character stand out more. The green and/or yellow electricity would actually lighten him up and pop more visually than blue.

You don't repeat what everyone else does, that's the opposite of making something memorable

Even in the later comics his lightning is blue.

Blue electricity works when his costume is yellow and green.......

Yellow electricity on that color palette of course meant stand out. Blue is more visually pleasing on yellow

This is very very simple rules of color... Take a color theory class

Black and blue does go together but only because they're complimentary. They form a cool color scheme. Not a contrasting one. Thus why they blend in.

For a movie poster in order for electro to pop in that color scheme the back ground and lighting needs to be a warm tone.

I understand how colors work. Brighter colors stand out more against darker background. What you're not taking into account is the approach of this movie. If Dillion is a brooding, self-pitying type character with a darker internal self building up inside, does it not make sense for him to have colder colors surrounding him to reflect that? It pops more on screen, and makes him stand out more in the dark, because any blue light will tell you that's Electro, not a lamp post or porch lights or anything like that. A darker tone would suit Jamie a lot more than bright yellows and bright greens, and anyway, how could lightning be two different colors? It doesn't make any sense for it to randomly flucuate, neither does him having yellow in one hand and green in the other.

wake up, check this thread, page upon page of lightning colour debate.

lol.

Hey, at least it isn't trolls trolling trolls trolling trolls.

i disagree... this is a man who's never been noticed and wants to be. His mother missed his birthday, his work gets ripped from his hands... he wants people to know who he is.. not blend

Exactly, and yellow light would blend too much into normal light, and green looks too unnatural. Blue would stand out. You see blue light creeping up a dark wall, you know that's Electro. You see a distance spot of blue light from far away at night, you know that's Electro.

(walks out of room and approaches Peter sitting anxiously in fear and sadness nearby)
"I'm sorry, Gwen is dead."

Honestly though, don't know the significance of this one.

So there's a hospital scene? Hm.
I think it's sorta funny how their DP is gonna play or have a cameo in the film..

Does anyone here know who Connors was speaking to in the post credits? I thought it was electro until jamie was cast..Maybe it really is mysterio.

actually... considering oscorp uses alot of blues, electricity gives off a blue light when hitting oxygen (most lights have a blue tint), most of amazing 1 had a cool tint to it, and the fact he's wearing a black costume... makes Yellow and or green stand out more... especially at night when alot of neon lights (especially in times square) also use blue

Hello,Everyone I am new here.I have been following the threads on this boards for a couple of days now and I'd like to contribute to this movie discussion. Before I get started I just want to say I been a spiderman ever seen the first Spiderman back in 2002 and since then I have grown to him even closer and has quickly become my favourite superhero.Today, even though the batman movies have defined a so-called "realistic" superhero, spidey still continues to be my favourite.

The source material for part 2 is even more ridiculous

It will be hard job to make it look good, but the trailer was pretty good so I've high hopes

OK so, am I correct on this?

The new complaint here is that Electro's costume isn't exactly like the 616 comics? I always read people here say that costume would look silly on the big screen. Now when they go for something that seems to be more of an Ultimate look, people complain for the heck of it.

Do you seriously want three green themed villains in a row? Do you really think Electro's suit would translate well on the big screen?

Also, some of the usual nitpickers here also say that Webb's totally changed the character. So, Electro wasn't always a loser with minority complex in the comics, like he seems to be in the film?

No the complain't is that there should be visual nods to it

I'm one of the main contenders of the debate lol
we're debating because the other guy wants Electro to shoot green and yellow lightning as a call back to the classic costume, and I personally think gren and yellow lightning would look corny and doesn't realy suit the vibe of this trilogy, also how can lightning be both green AND yellow? Blue isore
realistic, but his complaint is that blue is overused in movies, even though it is techincally comic accurate (Ultimate) and would fit in the movie a lot better than multicolored lightning.

Green and yellow lightning is way too forced dude. It makes NO sense, it doesn't flow, it doesn't make Electro seem organic and fit into this universe. It's cheap fan service.

I never imagined electricity to be green.

Yellow however I'd like! Not sure how that would look in daylight however.

I personally believe blue would stand out more. Like if you saw Electro from a far enough distance he wouldn't look like headlights lol since he's blue you'll know that's Electro. I'm fine with yellow though, but just green or yellow and green I just can't see working without making it look too much like magic or make it seem out of place. Either yellow and blue would be fine.
