This is definitely worth a mention, so do not flame me for the following.
But for arguments sake, I for one had an issue with Peter & that freaken cup which didn't spill the slightest drop of coffee out of it (I'm over that nit-pick now, so don't worry). But then I see an obscene amount of people totally whining, going completely monkey-crazy over Garfields accent in that new Peter & Harry clip!? Really? Is THAT ok?? That, if anything deserves a slap in the face for being a ***** about it, guys. Sorry, but it's gotta be said. I can't believe the weird comments I read from the last 10 pages back about that issue. It's really ridiculous.
Garfields accent, is just fine! I think he sounds awesome, and at least he's not speaking british. That's good enough. Who freaking cares (well, obviously all too many of you, lol) if in some little scenes Garfields accent tend to be a little "muddled" in some words & sentences. I didn't once think about it, watching this! I was so damn caught up in the dynamics between two young A-list actors here, acting the **** off of each other! I thought this little scene were all that. It gave me even more comfort and continues to further showcase that this film is character-defined. We so shouldn't complain over a freaken little twist of accent here.
PS. NOTHING in the Raimi franchise comes close to being as deep, genuine or layered as what little is seen between Dehann and Garfield here. Sorry to say, but Franco and Maguire never had any chemistry like this.
