I love the swinging in that scene, but I roll my eyes every time I see the crane dad in the crane, so stupid that they put him in there, and the weird dramatic shot of the other crane operator. cut those two bits out and it'd be a thousand times better.
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?

I love the shot of the crane operator. Just the look in his eyes, with him at a complete loss for words. It's probably the first time they see Spider-Man swing like that.
Cool, but why does Spidey need them then, if he can swing regardless? I like the concept behind it -the dad's gratefulness, that's very poignant- but the execution was lacking a bit in the logic department, at least in my eyes. But I guess the people who like it really like it... and I do love moments like that in other films myself, so it's not like I want them to refrain from sappy stuff.
Well, he just fought a giant lizard, got tazed, swung into a building at like 30 mp/h, and fell on to a fire escape.
He was obviously pretty destroyed by the time he got on top of the final building.
Also, Webb really inteded for physics to apply to the first movie's universe, so even if he wasn't hurt, he would still need the cranes to swing. Swinging with the webs attatched to buildings on your side, simply doesn't work in the real world (which Webb was going for).
