Right. Sure, people got upset when Sony first announced they were rebooting the franchise, but there was no need to go after Webb just because he was hired as the director. Or for those who do like the reboots to start gaining up on Raimi just because those films are older.
Yeah, that was something I was discussing with the others on the Spider-Man podcast last night. I think that, based on what was rumored about the alternate cuts of Gwen's death, I was very satisfied with what was in the film. That whole sequence (with the exception of the heavy-handed symbolism of the "web hand") involving Gwen's death and funeral and passing of the seasons--best moments of the film bar none.
Well, if you go to the Crawlspace's contact and staff bios, I'm the guy holding a copy of Amazing Spider-Man #394, the one with the foil cover that you have to flip to read the back-up story.
Oh, you're absolutely right. Peter's motivation should never be about his parents but his sense of guilt over Uncle Ben's death. That's why the first film all but cut out the "Untold Story" from the first film.
oh tell me about it. seriously, can yopu imagine someone like kevin smith or maybe even the guys behind breaking bad or mad men were to direct this film and got trashed before they even gotten started? it's really irritating how critics on youtube even people who want to be writers care more for their pride. i can tell you that once webb makes a new film he's gonna get trashed regardless of the evidence-_- and before the reboot wasmade the writers were revealed to be the ones from the harry potter series, zodiac, and even the first spdierman movie. all talented writers and yet the reboot still gets trashed. and people should stop picking on sam. they should come clean already. i know you guys already feel like *******s but really all of you guys really need to step up and apologize and could we just move on already for the love of god?
i really love gwen's death. i can see that the web hand is kinda bothersome to people but i didn't mind it. i'm kinda a big fan of artsy style scenes. but the death istelf briought alot of tension when gears came down almost close to gwen's face while they both were staring into eachother before she got a whiplash.
a guy name Teekay in the forums stated that the goblin fight was much longer and that peter found gwen's note instead of a flash drive.
do you believe we'll be able to get a director's cut this time?
thanks for the picture. for a minute there i thought you looked like your icon.
so jonathan hickman writes a great spiderman and not only that seems to write a mature spiderman and even seems to criticize some of the problems in OMD and dan slott's writing like the speech he gave to franklin about moving on, how he got his new costume, and even seem to mention about getting a new girlfriend which makes us agree that carly is kind of a weak character.
what do you think about brian michael bendis and marcos martin teaming up?
t: You're the second person to say that.
Now ive been hovering all over the place on this board and your comments have been really positive, how many times you seing this now. Why im interested is because your comments have been quite balanced. Was it certain scenes that brought this on, maybe on your next viewing you will try to put aside Pete and Gwen's relationship to see more of the movies background elements.
now that i know how the "writters" did this one and the fact that they are rushing it for Sinister six
