John Campea likes to feel important, he doesn't know anything more than we do.
I agree with you 100%. I loathe that Joker connection to Batman in B'89. It stinks of cheap plot contrivance and added nothing worthwhile to the movie other than a cheap reason for Batman to beat Joker up badly (as if he needed an excuse for that after all the murders Joker committed and terrorized and abducted Vicki).
Even the script writer of the movie, Sam Hamm, disowned it:

But my point was Joe Chill and Jack Napier are two different characters. Chill was a random mugger like in Batman Begins and the comics. Napier is a Burton made up hood who becomes the Joker.
I'm not saying I like the idea of Joker killed Bruce's parents. Prefer Chill but I always liked the "I made you, you made me first"
Well, Monday is the 19th. The supposed date of the 'Summit'.
Agreed. The ASM movies have made a big mess of things and now it is time that they stop wasting Spider-Man movies and give Marvel the franchise.
It has been very long since I was excited for a Spider-Man film.
The whole thing with making the Joker the killer of Batman's parents (and killing off the Joker) was to make Batman a self contained story and grabbing elements from Batman lore because there was no guarantee that there would be sequels. It's the same thing with Spider-Man, starting out with MJ and the Green Goblin.
I personally don't care how they use the lore, if it makes sense with the story and the theme, that's why i don't mind the mandarin ...I never had a problem with MJ first and Goblin throwing her off the bridge.
Anyone who has a problem with it, I just use the Ultimate Spider-Man defense since it happened in that.
I know there is a photo somewhere of Tobey on set with Raimi reading an Ultimate Spider-Man comic from Spider-Man 1 but I can't find it.
I don't think AMC have any insider info.

John campea seems certain that Spider-Man in the MCU isn't happening.
Wonder if he's on to something, he'd know people for sure
Exactly it makes sense because all the villains in the Ironman movies aren't superhuman, they are the suits behind the terroism.I had a problem with the Mandarin for 2 reasons, neither has to do with the lore:
1. When you have Sir Ben Kinglsy in these ads all badass, why would you not have him be the villain?
2. It's another big business guy villain in an Iron Man film. First one had Stane, second had Hammer, this has Killlain.

Isn't he the one who started the "ASM2 will be Spider-Man's Dark Knight" hype?

Ben Kingsley did both of his parts rather well, he was the face of the ten rings to the world and his trevor part too, it made sense with the Iron Man movies... Also with TWS ,the main theme of both movies are that the bad guys are not always who you think they are
Honestly Iron man is great I love him but his last two movies were just.... ehhh. One could call it drone man the movie. All in all I hope with spiderman if marvel gets him we have the villians treated with respect. Also where the frick frack is Red skull? He is like Caps arch nemesis. I find it odd how he's not really anywhere even in the second cap movie all the talk of hydra he never appeared.
I don't think Marvel really has any plans for him to return at this point. Maybe a cameo for Infinity War. I know Hugo Weaving isn't really interested in returning to play Red Skull, even though he signed a multi-picture contract.
Isnt he like marvels third most evil villain? Or atleast top 10
You know me so well.We all do. Except for maybe Daltonio![]()

Despite his previous comments about not wanting to return, I just heard an interview with him last month or so where he said if things lined up right, he'd be willing to come back. But he mentioned that he hasn't had any talks about it with Marvel.I don't think Marvel really has any plans for him to return at this point. Maybe a cameo for Infinity War.
