I have no problem with the CGI in any Spidey films but TASM2 mostly because I felt some of Electro's scenes didn't look that good along with the Rhino.
The thing you have to remember about the Raimi films is 2 things:
1. CGI was very new. Directors would balance CGI and practical effects. When you look at Episode 1, yea not the best example but go along, most of the effects in terms of the city designs and looks with Naboo were practical and they still stand to this day because they used it sparingly. Here are examples:

When you look at Raimi's first Spider-Man, all the CGI scenes include Goblin flying on his glider, spidey sense and Spidey web slinging. Just about the rest of the film is practical. Scene where Goblin crashes Jonah's office? Practical. All the fight scenes? Practical. When you look at the scene where Spidey is holding the car and MJ, it's a mix of practical and CGI. CGI backgrounds but most of it is done through close ups which are practical.
For Spider-Man 2, same thing. Mix of practical and CGI. Dr Ock's arms were done via puppets for some scenes.
The point is nowadays I do feel film directors are far more lazy where instead of using models they will CGI it. When you look at the original Star Wars films, they are 90% practical. All the space battles? Practical.
Your film will stand the test of time when you do more with practical effects then CGI. CGI isn't bad but again it's how you use it. In 90% Superman's scenes in Man of Steel, they were done via practical effects through wires and a green screen.

I will admit, on Krypton the CGI looked off a tad and overblown but I'm more talking about Superman's scenes.
Point is in the early days of CGI, directors would find a way to mix practical and CGI so they that they didn't rely on CGI. Nowadays too many directors rely on CGI. It's the directors who know how to use the CGI that make films in which CGI stands the test of time. The Planet of the Apes reboots films, Peter Jackson's King Kong, some of the Star Wars prequels (there are still scenes like in Episode 2 that seem bad), the Christopher Nolan Batman films, Snyder with Superman. I will even say Webb did a good job in TASM1.
That's my 2 cents.
Great post Levi.
