ASM is more faithful where it counts. It's more faithful to comic book canon movie goers haven't seen already in the Raimi trilogy.

Stuff movie goers have seen already (Ditko origin/tone/costume) is being revamped to make it fresh or interesting.

Why be faithful to aspects that movie audiences have seen over and over again? It's more important to be faithful to classic comic book canon movie goers have never seen or appreciated.

We only have one tv spot so far. I was talking about the US where I could actually catch these on televsion.

AH, okay. The "I" was a mistake. Makes more sense. I don't really see the big deal with tv spots to be honest. We still have over a month till the movie comes out, we'll get stuff by then...I hope.

And that is what I am hoping for as well. It just feels like they should have started by now. I love dissecting tv spots. Checking out the bits of new footage. I think I prefer them to trailers. t:

OMG I'm so stoked right now!!

Sony Pictures Germany visited my blog which is dedicated to "The Amazing Spider-Man"!! And guess what!!! I'll be receiving free tickets for the german premiere of the film on June 20th in Berlin!!!

Andrew, Emma, Rhys and Webb will be there too!! t: I'm sooo happy guys!! I can't describe what I'm feeling.. I was downtown when I got the message. I just wanted scream out loud but I couldn't ^^

The best thing about it is: they even allowed me to start a sweepstake on my blog! It will start next week, but it's only for german residents though. They can win another 2 tickets for the premiere...

Canon the audience hasn't seen is introduced so they finally enjoy it.

What does that have to do with Avengers? I didn't see people talking about Avengers vs ASM like they've talked about Raimi trilogy vs ASM. You're over-reacting a bit because people are pointing out things they thought could have been better in Avengers even though the same people still say they enjoyed the movie. Again, it was an awesome movie, but it wasn't perfect, so is it really that wrong to discuss about what its flaws were? Seriously? No one even said it was a bad movie! I do that all the time when I'm discussing a movie I love with my friends.

Again, thats hardly treating Avengers the way any of the Raimi movies have been treated.

I wasn't referring to you to begin with, I would have quoted you. You can critique Avengers in the Avengers forum. That's fine. What's not fine/dumb/pointless is to start making comparisons to it...because you haven't seen ASM. When ASM comes out, compare away to whatever movie...I don't care.

Not really. All you've proven with your statement is that both are faithful in different ways not that one is more than the other.

No, "Spanky" still doesn't get it.

It just sounds like clueless defending and it makes no sense the way you're explaining it. But Raimi is still faithful and you pretty much say the same thing. I'm only asking how TAS-M is MORE faithful.
