Thing is, minor things don't make one game better as a whole to another.

WoS was buggy as hell and had a storyline that was over the place. Good concept, bad implementation.
Minor my foot, they took a huge toll on things

Both have interesting plots, nice pacing, and horrible implementation

What would you say if rumors were released about Dr. Doom being in the sequel?

I think all the console games for Spidey since 2000 have been ranged from good to great. its just that some of them aren't as good as others.

WoS is awesome in terns of gameplay, and graphics and music, but lacks in the story and voice acting

That's quite generous.

From good to great? Hahahahahaha.

Excuse me...that was my keyboard laughing.

Bad to mediocre to good would be ideal. A GREAT Spider-Man game? We haven't had one of those yet.

And, yes, WoS did an excellent job with the gameplay and graphics. The music, however, would be with the story and voice acting in the 'bad' category.

Well, the gameplay wasn't that great, IMO

The gameplay was the only thing worthwhile for WoS.

Um, Excuse me, but we've have had great Spider-man games. Ultimate Spider-man, SM2 the movie, and don't even get me started on Spider-man the game for ps1 which, while limited to the tech of its time, has one of, no,THE BEST comics to game adaptations of the Spider-man universe. PERIOD!!

It was the best thing about the game, IMO as well.

Agreed 100%.

No offense, but the plot of that game felt like a spiritual ripoff of the plot from the first ps1 Spider-man game where someone also tried to take of the world by bonding everyone with Symbiotes jut rather than Venom like in WoS, you had Doc Ock and Carnage. However, it execution was rather well done.

Also, that game didn't live up to the hype that the promos for it set. Also the free roaming aspect was almost non existent due to the side/non story missions' retraints.

I do have to applaud WoS on its choice of villains. I love the Electro and Vulture fights.

The best part of WoS was that amazing launch trailer that was released for it.

We shouldn't have to say 'imo' though because it's definitely the truth, lol.

Ultimate Spider-Man didn't have everything that Batman: Arkham Asylum had or Arkham City, so it's not a GREAT game if you ask me.

Spider-Man 2 shouldn't count because its main story is copying from a film. A video game, to be great in excellence, should have an original story. Thus, I would not call Spider-Man 2 a GREAT game either.

The PS1 game is still good, but in 2011 and close to 2012, it in no way should be received as a GREAT game from the standards gamers have nowadays.

The launch trailer was brilliant. So much for taking a trailer to mean the game will be awesome. WoS showed me that in video games as how the Spider-Man 3 trailer taught me about movies.

Agreed. No Spider-Man game to date has **** on Batman: Arkhan Asylum or Batman: Arkham City.

I don't think its fair to compare the Batman Arkham Games with the Spider-man games because 1) There hasn't been an in depth Spider-man game cloe to what the Arkham games have done yet and 2) Of course the Arkham games are better.

Your reply only puts a stamp on what I am saying: there hasn't been a great Spider-Man game as of yet. If you can't compare any Spidey games to AA, AC or can be even close to those games only shows there has never been a great Spidey game, which I've said.

When it comes to combat and graphics at least they aren't great, both games on that system are still loads of fun though

Spider-man (activison/neversoft) on the playstation was a GREAT game

I HATE to say this but this movie doesn't have me pumped up to see it. Um, I'm not feeling a Spiderman reboot when The Avengers & The Dark Knight Rises are coming out next Summer.

I hope to get some positive vibes from the film but right now it's not going on.

Agreed. It's not the best, but still very fun. I think Activision should ahve stuck with Fee Roam. If it works, keep going with it.

Spider-Aziz and S-MH12 have it correct. The PS1 game is a very fun game and a very good Spider-Man game, but it cannot be compared to AA or AC which put up a new height on making a great and solid comic book game. The scripts for both games were marvelous, the villain usage was outstanding and the voice acting was top notch and brought back nostalgic points.

The PS1 game is only a fun game, as was Edge of Time and Shattered Dimensions, but I would never point it out as a great game. Maybe for that time, but down the years it only achieves fun value.

And EoT and SD, while it brings in nostalgic points, they both could've been better. And that is coming from a guy who enjoyed both games.

I had a dream last night about playing a demo of the TASM game. It started with seeing the Lizard and chasing him to the top of a skyscraper, and having an epic boss fight. Next thing I remember is vividly swinging through the city, and my god, the detail. The detail. With every swing, I could see the movements of Spidey and the web shooters working. Not to mention how sweet the detailed city was. Man, I really wish this was a premonition.

Hello...I'm baaaack! Soooo...what is the heat of discussion this time? *see's discusion of games Wos and SD.* Ooooh.....o.O
