After it's release, there will be what is needed to be said

So I went to see The Girl with Dragon Tattoo last night, and it occurred to me, this movie might tread similar ground in the way the general audience might see it. It is still going to be retelling the origin, something alot of people saw not so long ago. The differences between the new movie and the old swedish TGWTDT was very minor, except for maybe one major change. I'm not saying this one will be the same, as it's obvious alot more is being changed, and of course the fact that TGWTDT is based off one book, as opposed to 70 odd years of comic stories, but in the same sense his origin has stayed the same. So how is this movie going to be percieved by the GA? will they care that he has a new interest or see it as just another minor change to not make it like the original? anyway...not sure where I am going with this but just thought I'd share I'd share my line of thought anyway...

I can't stand Tobey Maguire's voice in the movie games. I hope Andrew's voice doesn't annoy me like his did.

Tobey Mguire's voice was horrid. His voice completely took me out of the feeling of being spider-man. He is by far the worst spidey voice actor in the history of spidey voice actors.

Rino Romano was amazing, his voice work for the unlimited tv series and 2 pson games was vintage. However, my favourite would have to be Barnes. Chris Barnes is the definitive spidey voice for me, he delivered ever line with 100% conviction. Barnes is followed very closely by Keaton. Very closely.

Tobey's Spider-Man voice was... hmm, a little flat/monotonous. It wasn't right for Spider-Man.

Rino Romano and Josh Keaton are great though. And whenever I think of an older Spidey voice, Barnes comes to mind.

yup..spidey should sound like he's having fun or at least have some type of energy to it..Tobey doesn't have that kind of a voice or delivery, which is fine. Not everyone has a voice like that or can go with that. That wasn't his characterization of the character so that's the choice he went with

Barnes always comes to mind, and WAY before I think of Keaton, when I think of Spider-Man.

Barnes is as essential to the role as Conroy is as Batman. I've always said that and I will always say that.

[BLACKOUT]He did such an amazing job as Thomas Elliott/Hush as well in Arkham City.[/BLACKOUT]

http://www.bleedingcool.com/2011/12/29/amazing-spiderman-building-blocks-confirm-spoiler-rumour/ - I don't know, how I feel about this. I wasn't particularly fond of the whole idea behind the SWAT team turning into Lizard-like creatures. Even when I was watching the animated series in the 90s, I disliked the Lizard King episode. Something's off. It takes away Lizard's uniqueness:

Notice the "SWAT Lizard"...I wasn't keen on it, but it could play out either way, tbh.

IF that's a confirmation and not just toy ideas much like Lizard's ski-boat, Spidey's truck or Lizard's mechanical giant thing, it makes me wonder just what the heck Lizard's endgame/goal is in this film. If he's supposed to be a sympathetic villain, then why would he go out and turn an entire SWAT team into lizard minions?

My only guess is that...his goal is to go after OsCorp, much like Vulture in TSSM and Spidey just gets in the way. I mean, the serum he takes could make him become mad, and he starts to target Norman? Perhaps his mind is sort of still intact and he blames his mutation on the one who wanted to create this serum, Norman Osborn. He may never even get to Norman since Spider-Man shows up. Maybe that's why the final battle takes place ontop OsCorp's building.

Not really feeling the SWAT Lizards, wait and see I guess.

Perhaps, like in the animated series and some of the 90's Spidey comics, he wants to make everyone like him and then dominate the world!!! :awesome: Lol, I'm just kidding) Whatever it is, that Webb & his crew have up in their sleeves, I hope it's worth the risk)

maybe he tests it on them before he tests it on himself, then when hethinks he's got it perfect, it actually turn out alot worse then it did with them.

Or he could bite them because they get in the way, and they're not following him per-se.

PS. I can't actually open that page to read it, anyone got another workable link to it?

Hate to jump the gun on judging, but if this SWAT lizard thing is true, I will be a man with 100% confidence in this film to a man with 0% confidence. This idea of a swat teaming turning into lizards is so ridiculous it could possibly ruin the entire movie for me.

I could eventually be pretty creepy and cool, I'm not gonna judge before I see the movie
