Go back and read the posts again.... and then try to absorb the following statement...

Dan is mad at the hate posts that follows the assumptions...
Dan does not hate assumptions...
Dan is mad at the hate posts that follows the assumptions...

So let me be clear here... Dan is mad at the hate posts that follows the assumptions... he doesn't care about the assumptions...nor do I beleive that he condemn them...

Once everybody understands this, maybe we can then return to our regularly scheduled thread.

:whatever: :whatever: :whatever:

I think the "sarcastic" smiley would be this one... :oldrazz: it seems to fit the bill best, though more often than not, I think of it as a cunnilingus smilie...

:yay:

.... then he needs to understand the fact that people are allowed to express hatred for "what if" scenarios. He shouldn't get mad at that. No one was attacking him or the books over a "what if" scenario. Only the idea of a scenario.

Heeeey, unintentional rhymes are fun. :woot:

On topic, do we know how long Spider Island lasts? I'm curious if after last issue we're at the half way point.

Six issues. Issue 700 is the half way point! :D I'm really excited to see how this plays out, especially Carlie. I'm a fan of C.C. Bahahaha, I don't know why, she just seems much more...Peter's type.

Your opinion doesn't match mine. Get out. The internet is no place for you.

So much hate! T^T

Bahaha. I know a lot of people don't like Carlie....I knew I was going to get flack from someone.

I bet your HAPPY with what Jackal did to her! Jerk! Lmao

OK, despite the risk of turning this into another session of Venom posts, I had to post this.

It turns out that after Spider-Island, someone dies. [blackout]Someone close to Flash in fact[/blackout]. And Flash-Venom [blackout]is on the run. Fallout with his government bosses? Guilt? Submission to the symbiote?[/blackout]

Venom 10
NEW DIRECTION. NEW ARTIST. OLD SOLDIERS.
Rick Remender welcomes Lan Medina (PUNISHER) with AMERICAN BADNESS!
SPIDER-ISLAND has changed everything and now the death of a loved one reminds Flash Thompson that his secret identity is in the hands of the villainous Crime-Master – and the only way to take his life back is to go rogue. But CAPTAIN AMERICA is out to shut him down. It’s a good old fashioned road trip with Flash Thompson and an alien symbiote!

Venom 11
VENOM COMES FACE TO FIST WITH JACK-O-LANTERN!
But are these archenemies about to become partners?! On the run from his own country, Flash Thompson may have no choice but to ally himself with his newest enemy as Rick Remender and Lan Medina continue building Venom’s brave new world!

Iiiiiiiinteresting. Can't wait till it comes out. Kind of twitchy since this week Venom was pushed back.

Oh god please not [BLACKOUT]Betty[/BLACKOUT].....I'm hoping it's just [BLACKOUT]Flash's pops[/BLACKOUT]. Cap joining as a guest star....? WOW, Remender is certainly swinging for the fences.

Agreed. Any supporting cast member from the Stan Lee/Steve Ditko/John Romita Sr. days should be placed off limits for killing off. When they get killed off, the characters intended to replace them lack staying power, so we are left with a hole in the supporting cast. Just look at Harry Osborn for example.

Just saw the latest preview for the next issue. Gah, if I was a hero in NY, I'd be screaming like a banshee.
I was expecting the 2nd stage of the mutation to turn people into the man-spiders like Spider-king, but nope. They're turning into actual GIANT FREAKIN' Spiders....eeeew.

That kinda debunks my theory that Peter saves the day not Spider-Man.

Am I the only one who is underwhelmed by this whole "spider-island" thing? It seems more like a chore to pick up ASM than for the actual enjoyment of the current stories.

The Jackal, Spider monsters, Humberto Ramos' ugly art. It's all bad. Oh and if I need to see another product placement for Harley Davidson, I might drop the title all together. Marvel really needs to step up. DC's reboot (which I'm against) is actually better than this and Fear Itself. Pathetic for a True Believer like myself to have to witness.

No likey Ramos' art? :csad:

Why?

Humberto Ramos needs to stay away from Amazing all together. At least I could ignore his "art" when he was doing Peter Parker: Spider-man and Spectacular. But having Ramos front and center for this big event is a mistake. It's one thing to have a stylized "comic-booky" look, it's another to create unrecognizable giant ape-footed monsters.

Agreed. His art severely undermined A Death In The Family, in my opinion.

I don't know... I hated his work early on, but it has sort of grown on me... though the recent issue of ASM looked rushed and was certainly not his best work imo.

They should have continued to split art duties with Caselli and Camuncoli instead of putting the entire arc on Ramos' back. He's an OK artist when in dibs and dabs.

Sorry, but I strongly disagree. I am a big fan of Humberto Ramos's art and am digging Spider-Island (and this coming from someone who hated the last Man-Spider story that introduced the Queen).

I get Humberto's style is highly stylized, but I enjoy it, more so than some artists that are bland. Granted, sometimes it looks rushed, but over all, he's one of my favorite Spidey artist. I like how he draws Spidey's eyes (that's a big thing with me) and I like the expressions of the characters.

I completely agree with you. Yeah sometimes it looks rushed and I believe someone in this thread said before that he usually puts a lot in panels and it's hard to follow. Well that I don't agree with, I love how he isn't 'afraid' to put a ton of stuff going on in a panel. I love how it's clustered and you can tell so much is happening, especially in spider-island, everything's happening so fast and a lot of it all at once.
