WASHINGTON (AP) - Majestic Athletic spelled things out quite clearly on Tuesday: It was the uniform company's fault that Washington Nationals Adam Dunn and Ryan Zimmerman wore jerseys reading "Natinals" during a game last week.

Dunn and Zimmerman donned the shirts that were missing an "O" for the first three innings of Washington's 3-2 loss to the Florida Marlins on Friday. They eventually changed into jerseys with the team nickname spelled correctly.

"All of us at Majestic Athletic want to apologize to both the Washington Nationals and Major League Baseball for accidentally omitting the 'O' in two Nationals jerseys," Majestic Athletic president Jim Pisani said in a statement.

"We take 100 percent responsibility for this event and we regret any embarrassment for the Nationals organization, players and fans."

I mean, honestly though, I would not have taken the field in those. I would make someone in the clubhouse go and find the dirty jersey from last game, get some oxi-clean, wash that ***** out, dry it, iron that mother****er and wear that.

Those are beyond lame. They had a good thing going with their last set. There was no need for such a change.

you think those are bad you see the road jerseys which are pretty much just black and white. They seem to have removed all gold from the uniform outside of the wordmark and the logo on the helmet.

The helmets are a bit different now too, they have "teal flakes" in them and look kind of odd. Almost like they have glitter in them, like a paint job that you'd see on a motorcycle.

:fail: Indeed on the new Jags unis. Teal and Gold would have been much better with a black accent, and instead we got this almost lack of color except teal. Sounds like they sent their helmets to a custom paint shop to put the teal flakes in. I look forward to that, giving the helmets a different look.

seriously.

i would never go on the field with something that was spelled wrong, especially with the media coverage these days. that just makes the franchise and the uniform distributor look bad
