The amazing thread of Uniforms and Logos - Part 2

Bears going with a 1936 throwback for the NFL's 100th season:

Ugly.

not a fan of the 3rd as I find the stick in rink logo to be super boring.

Just go with the flying skate logo and unis full time you dummies.

I think their new jerseys are too generic and bland, almost looking like a generic jersey you'd find in an advertisement or movie. They would look better if they could decide if they want to be a red/silver, double red, red/black, or red/yellow team and if kept the side panel design from their statement and city editions.

Iowa going with all-yellow uniforms that mimic their old uniforms from the mid-90s.

New Thunder uni's for next season.

Still the most generic and boring identity in all sports.

Memphis Grizzlies will be using some throwback uniforms the next couple of seasons. They'll use their teal Vancouver ones this season and the black Memphis ones for the 2020-21 season.

Teal was the go to color scheme for teams founded in the late 80’s/early 90’s.

Grizzlies
Mighty Ducks
Jaguars
Hornets
Sharks

In addition to the Buffalo Sabres announcing they'll be going back to their original royal blue and gold color scheme in 2020-21, they also unveiled their new alternate jersey for the 2019-20 season that marks their 50th anniversary in the NHL.

Oregon unveiled new uniforms today, showcasing Nike's new uniform template while also celebrating the 20th anniversary of Oregon's Nike logo and uniform redesign in 1999. It's mainly subtle changes from last season's uniforms but it included a couple new uniforms that feature the return of their old dark green color. For the first time in a while, they don't have a black uniform in the mix (although there are rumors of one possibly showing up later on this season.)

But why do the ducks have so many uniforms? Why did that become a thing?

The founders of Nike are Oregon grads, so they throw a whole lotta money at their alma mater.

The designer of many of Nike's famous shoes, Tinker Hatfield, is an alum, which has led them to also get a host of player-exclusive Jordans and Nikes as travel and game shoes.

Because the only way they can recruit is by using their Phil Knight privileges of tons of free and customized gear?

When you're not exactly in a recruiting hotbed, you use the assets that you've got and Nike is a good one to play. The gear and facilities are the flash that catches their initial attention but it's eventually the on-field/court success, the coaches, teammates and community support that wins over most of the recruits.
