major improvement over what they had, though I wish they'd have gone more with a pink or orange secondary color instead of just red.

I think they wanted to keep all the wordmarks and logos the same color (black) but the black jersey would seemingly work better with white lettering. I also think all the jerseys would look better with a little more collar trim and/or piping.
