The Audience Reaction Thread

One kid laughed at something during the opening credits. That very second, a young lady turned around and told him to shut the hell up. LOL.

Anyway, once the movie ended, everyone in the audience clapped. I'm guessing they really liked it

The crowd size was decent but smaller than I expected. No kids there, mostly dudes in their early to late 20's. A few girls there and maybe an older person or two.

It was good crowd, a little noisy at first but I think most got into the movie. The Captain Carnage line got laughs, the gruesome parts got good reactions, and the flamethrower climax got a big laugh.

A few giggles for Dr. Manhattan's penis, which was annoying. One guy even referred to it as his "wiener".

I had a mid 30's guy laughing at everytime you'd see the good 'ol blue wang, and when ever you'd see Nixon.

OMG. I totally forgot another big reaction.

People lol'd at the moment and lines right after SSII notices the 3rd Jon working in the lab after she storms out of the bedroom.

Also, there was a pretty decent rumbling in the crowd when Bubastis first appeared.

Me and everyone else applauded at the opening of the film and at the end of the film. Just so awesome.

Can anybody post the song or tell me the song that was in the opening credits (sorry random, but very important)

Had a packed theater. Pretty much everyone mentioned what I witnessed. There were some 14 year old kids. Little kids! Like 8 year olds!

- There were of course some stuff with the wang, but no burst out laughter.
- Laurie and Dan dinner scene - him cleaning his glasses and that goofy smile got alot of laughs, the "awful latex" joke did too.
- "Rorscach dropped him down an elevator shaft" got alot of laughter.
- Lots of stuff with Dan. Like the first sex scene, we were all laughing with the movie. Dan's, "Oh," when Laurie grabs him, and then says, "Oh hell." Then says, "Maybe we should slow down." Alot of that got laughter.
- Rorscach dying the theater was silent.
- Rorscach girpping the broekn glass got gasps
- the alley fight with Dan and Laurie got gasps when you saw the bone break out of the guys elbow
- Pretty much everyone did "ooohhhh" or making cringing noises with the fighting

Damn, watching those sex scenes next to my dad was AWKWARD. I can't believe how much they did there.

Yep, same here. Like a "Damn, dude, you just didn't do that. Bad move" kind of "ooohhh."

my second viewing's crowd (mostly old people) was mainly disgusted by the movie...everytime there was blood..."oh my god" and stuff with ugly looks...made me laugh :oldrazz:

I kid you not and some might think I am exaggerating but there was a man that was sat 2 seats aways from me. And he kept on sighing and moaning at various scenes I take it he wasn’t pleased.

oh btw...another reaction today was a guy brought his daughter(looked 5 or 6) after the nuke dream he grabbed her and left (in my opinion he should have left sooner than that...)

I was pissed as hell and i leave the teather cursing and saying all kind of bad words.

There were giggles at Dr.M's junk, which then turned to groans everytime it was shown. A good majority of the cinema got very restless towards the end of the film, they did not anticipate the lenght of if

Jeez. The movie is rated R for a reason. It's a strong R, IMO.

Don't take your 6 year old to see this!

and yeah, this movie shouldn't be seen by anyone over the age of 40. :p

so the age limit should be 7-39!!! haha jk
but honestly...16 and lower should not be allowed because they would either be immature or terrified

That's just like when a guy brought his two 5 year old daughters to the latest friday the 13th movie.

Sometimes people don't even think anymore about stuff.

They think oh superheroes, it must be for kids.:oldrazz:

I think the suggested age range should be 14-40. Maybe I'll push the upper limit to 50.

Kids younger than 14 will be either bored, terrified, scared, scarred, or completely lost.

Adults over 50 don't have the attention spans, patience, the new age mindset, or the capacity to properly piece together and appreciate the movie for what it is and will probably not feel as if the movie has anything to offer them in what they look for in a movie that's marketed as a superhero adventure. I guarantee that anyone over 50 will probably walk out or if they stay, they will be very disappointed.

my bad... 14-40 or 50 is a perfect age limit...there is still hope with the young teens...im just sick of the laughter of seeing a penis on screen or sex and what not(i understand the first time it being funny...but the whole movie?)

Sure. You're 14. You're in range. :D If you were 13, then I'd be impressed.

BTW, there's a r in "perfectly" and "understood" has no hyphen. :p

I was in theater half full since I went this afternoon. No one made a peep. Which was wonderful. The only thing that got a reaction was when Rorschach told the inmates that they were locked up with him, when the Comedian was beating on Silk Spectre, and Rorschach hacking away at the guys head. And when the movie ended, everyone left silently. It was a good experience.

So do you want to be the one who calls my 59-year-old father and tell him he can't see the movie tomorrow?

He loved 300, he loved Sin City, he's got TDK on his iPhone. He hasn't read the graphic novel for Watchmen, but I'm predicting that after we see the movie tomorrow he'll be borrowing my copy because he loves this stuff.

50 is not that old. My dad watches most of the same movies you do. And he understands them just fine. :cwink:

I'mm 14 and I undertand the book I love it I know what to expect and I'm too mature for my age (its true) so I'm set.
