There is one thing that unites Marvel & DC fans,
A Mutual Love of Pixar!

And Disney films!

Toy Story till this day makes me feel like a kid again. Animated or not, Toy Story was perhaps one of best and most memorable films ever released (on par with The Lion King).

Pixar films are fine. Not liking them is fine, too. It's a matter of personal taste and opinion, nothing more. I would even say that when it comes to people who think that the Lord of the Rings trilogy is so awful that they want a reboot. I definitely do not agree, but so what? These are only movies, after all. Besides, if everyone did agree there wouldn't be much use in making different movies for different tastes.

You were proven wrong the moment you posted those statements. Any devoted and/or educated comic fan (some of which criticized your assertions earlier) would tell you that proclamations were completely off-base.

Yes, drop it. Don't make any more subjective 'predications'. It's insulting to comic fans.

No, I'm very, very correct!

So called devoted/educated comic fans cannot see the forest from the trees and are so wrapped up in their stuff that they cannot recognize that whilst their beloved hero might be awesome to them or to a particular comicbook fanbase (aka niche), to the rest of the world it has no mass market appeal.

For example, most Green Lantern fans will never admit that the name 'Green Lantern' sounds stupid as a superhero name to people who live in the real world.

Unitl WB manages to make a successful big budget movie out of any of those other characters, and not utter disasters like GL, reality agrees with me.

Now get off the computer, get into your Flash pajamas and into bed. It's past your bedtime.

Thy name is irony, monsieur.

Thank you for proving my point further.

On a technical level, the best shots in The Dark Knight can't hold a candle to the best shots in WALL-E or Up. Nolan is great for what he does, but the guys at Pixar have an absolute mastery of film as an art form.

They have a mastery in making pile of **** films. Wall E is the only decent one

I'm no lover of Pixar(or most animated movies in general for that matter) but The Incredibles ranks up there with the best superhero films of all time.

Are you trying to start an argument or something? I really don't know where you're going with this.

Hopefully Avengers can beat The Phantom Menace at the Box Office, which recently passed the 1 Billion mark.

I really hope AOTC doesn't reach that mark, it's the worst SW film.

AOTC would need it's 3-D rerelease to bank $350M+ WW next year for that to happen. Next to impossible. ROTS however just needs about $200M less than that to cross the $1B mark and that actually could happen in 2 years.

It's no suprise TPM made it since it was only $37M away from that milestone anyway. W/n 2 days it'll surpass TDK as the #10 all time WW unadjusted film.

That's fine with me. Besides Hayden Christensen, I think ROTS is a pretty good movie. Just as good as ROTJ IMO, like I said the only major problem with the film is Hayden & his horrible acting/romance scenes.

Got a PM from someone to say he hopes TA will beat TPM. Well I do as well, even though I'm not one of those prequel-hating SW fanboys. I don't even like that whole series in general so the Prequels being crap never got my ire. I just didn't care in the first place.

It will open huge, but I don't think as much as Iron Man, did. Which was almost 600 million worldwide. Even though Marvel has been building this up, too much, for the last 5 years. It depends on how good it is for repeat viewing.

He was good in Episode III, as good as he could be with that writing. The worst performance in that one, was actually Portman.

I don't see how TA could not set a new bar for opening weekends of Marvel Studios films. It beating IM2's $128M OW seems almost inevitable to me. I think it'll open in the $140M's or $150M's.

Yea, and it's actually incorrect. Saying Pixar's movies are crap is like saying the Earth is flat. It's just flat out (har har) wrong.

If the guy doesn't like Pixar he's entitled to that opinion and not to be berated for it.

As a fan of SW original trilogy I honestly find TPM and AOTC to be real crap, but I really like ROTS.
