Yeah, but these guys are jumping down his throat as if not liking Pixar is a crime against humanity.

Do we have any idea when advance ticket sales start for The Avengers ?

Some time in April and it depends on your local theater. Some theaters do not sell advanced tickets until a week before and some do it several weeks before.
So just start checking your local theaters webpage in April and see if there are advanced tickets for it.

I want to know too. I have two, that's TWO IMAX theaters near me, and both have the first 5 days sold out for The Hobbit, but I have yet to hear about The Avengers, and strange enough, The Dark Knight Rises too.

I want to go to the midnight show for Avengers if theres going to be one on opening day.

Imax should at least go on sale the first week of April. I am surprised TDKR is not sale if they are dong the hobbit especially since TDKR already sold in NY and LA.
IMO, I would hate it if theater sold that early. I do not know my scdeule enhough to buy a ticket months in advance.

I'm sure that at least some of the people buying tickets now plan to scalp them once the release dates for the movies get closer.

I already got 4 days of vacation approved at work in anticipation of seeing Avengers multiple times on opening weekend. I work 3rd shift so I usually have to go early in the morning plus I'm usually dead tired but for Avengers I want to be wide awake(how could I not? then again I fell asleep during MI4) and have my schedule cleared.

That's why I am perplexed that The Hobbit is already on sale, but not TDKR, considering they are coming from the same studios.

I'm keeping my eyes peeled though, because I have a big party going. Popular movies go quick in this area.

Heads will roll if I don't get to see this movie in IMAX opening night.
Seriously. People will die.

I prefer Saturday mornings to see my movies .
Less crowds .
Less need to do violence!

If you get there early enough and find a great spot to sit in, crowds can actually be pretty fun. I love midnight premieres solely because the people that are in the theater are, more times than not, die hard fans just like me so it makes the whole experience that much better.

I love the crazy energy of the midnight showing then I'll follow it up with a quiet matinee on Sunday.

Count me among those who dislike big crowds at movies. I'll be seeing a morning show of the Avengers for sure. I want to be able to take it all in without having teen boys losing their s*** whenever Iron Man fires a repulsor..lol

I used to go to midnight screenings all of the time .
And I do agree that die hard fans tend to go.
But ,somtimes they are too excited.
The crowds are often so loud at midnight screenings that I miss hearing some of the best lines in the film.
So I choose to go at a more mangeable time for me .

That's why I post here as a favor to all of you. You can judge your opinions against my statements of fact and correct your own thought process accordingly.
