yeah i think we have to wait another 4 weeks til the first trailer

4 weeks??? That would put it past The Last Jedi's premier. No way they skip showing it in front of that movie. Which means the trailer will be released at least a week before that. I'm still predicting December 1st during AoS.

You know ****s about to go down when Cap rolls up his sleeves! Looks badass. :hmr:

I'm not sure what to think of that. He's had a very good track record but yeah, that sounds kind of ridiculously spoilery to be in the first trailer.

Sounds entirely too spoilerly for a first teaser

Stealth drop this week! Let's go! Happy christmas for thanksgiving!

Only reason why I think it will be in November and not december is because Jurrassic World 2 teaser is confirmed for early December, now...I know this movie has nothing to fear from JW2 but still last one was very succesful & it's better if both get their time to shine, JW1 trailer dropped in Thanksgiving I think they are trading places this time  if I'm wrong.....well then December :D

I do hope they've toned down the shaky cam though. From the leaked teaser, it looks like they have! Release that trailer Feige! :argh:

Some actors haven't even seen the script but a set designer has?

Interesting. I'm certainly not surprised that the script is good. Those writers have done some great work so far.

Sweet. It does seem like Marvel's going all out on this one. I expect it to be the most serious (or the film that comes closest to) MCU movie to date.

Is it weird that I have no concerns/worries about this film? :funny:

I have a question about your signature...

You rate WW at 9.5, however, it's not in your top 5 comic book movies? Oversight? Or are all those movies better than a 9.5? lol. Just curious.

I only have a couple recent worries...One has risen post JL doing badly @ the BO this weekend....and that is Budget. 2nd critical reception of an over 2 hr 20 minute comic book movie with 70 characters. With a CGI purple guy.

JL was a mess, like in management with 2 directors, WB etc...that movie was for children, those lines those weak CGI...and that movie cost around 300 mil $
This is the big difference, MARVEL let the Russo brothers to make it as they wish, THEY ARE HUGE comics FANS, this means a lot and it was felt during Winter Soldier and even in Civil War
JL with 2 hours timeline was a let down even without seeing the movie
But with Infinity war with more than 2 and a half hours it will be more polished

Yeah I'm not worried about the quality. Just the perception.

What's the estimated budget on this like 250 per IW & A4?

DC has had a stink on them. MCU is usually praised and enjoyed by GA. I think it will be fine, and they are an established brand. The JL movie was always a forced reach because they had no set up. They were going off name recognition with the heroes.

Don't know how true it was, but a few months ago I read an article that said Marvel budgeted 1 billion for both movies... so 500M a piece.

Unless that includes the actors salary and all I say just a rumor.

Doesn't a movies production budget include salaries? I always assumed it did.

I don't know much about that stuff I always thought it was just production stuff like effects, equipment, filming time, paying for location, and marketing.

The budget includes the salaries but not the marketing

It's coming with Star Wars... It's coming with Star Wars... It's coming with Star Wars.

Right? They wouldn't miss that massive window, would they?

TBH this film has the most riding on it (more than BP, I feel that one is going to be ok), therefore it has a bigger chance of failing with critics/GA.

There are no telltale signs or bad omens, but there are factors which could work against it.

1.) Critics and GA not being fully enveloped with the Thanos/Infinity Stone context, there's a good chance they may have forgotten all elements of these from previous films and find the plot confusing without a refreshed reminder.

2.) They will likely find there are too many characters to follow and whilst some might be given more time to shine in A4, I doubt critics and GA will know that and judge soley on what they've been given here.

3.) Length - people are getting sick of 140+ min movies.

This film needs to work as much as a standalone film as a final chapter to the first 3 phases. It's not Hunger Games/Harry Potter/LOTR where they are following the storyline from a book series, they picking their own storylines from various sagas etc, and really the only people who have followed it closely and acknowledged all the references and in jokes are the main MCU fans. I don't feel we can defend any criticism about this film with "Well you need to have watched the last 10 films to understand it."

I have a lot of Faith in Marvel and the Russos, but let's tread the water carefully and not got too overconfident with the current success rate.
