I am starting to think there won't be any love sick Thanos in this. I personally think love sick Thanos would be a bit awkward IMO. I am sure there will come up with another motivation. Maybe his family or race and not just to impress Ms Death. Need something stronger than that.
I don't want a thirsty Thanos, it would be too much for him to be so crazy over Death. They have to have a creative motivation for him.

perhaps they appear near the end of Part 1 and their screen time/importance increases in part 2
I think they will arrive at the end when Thanos is done and gone. We most likely see them in space traveling trying to track Thanos. I think the big thing in part 1 will be Vision vs Thanos.

Second movie should have more of the GotG teaming with the original Avengers.

Well Karen Gillan needs to revert to her native Scottish accent when in Scotland.

I forgot, are they filming the next two films back-to-back?
I don't know if its possible to film it back to back. I still see it like a 2 parter but this is unlike any two part movie ever. They have films like Ant-Man/Wasp and Captain Marvel in the middle. Every movie that has done a back to back filming didn't have a universe with spin offs in the middle.

Some actors do have other projects to film as well.

From what I posted just a little bit ago:

It's unlikely they're shooting just all of Infinity War first and then moving onto Avengers 4. I'd have to dig, but I seem to recall a quote from either Russos or Feige indicating that filming would be a mashup (though I admit I could be misremembering)... one crew might be filming Infinity War stuff while at another location the 2nd unit is filming A4 stuff...or a few days are filming Infinity War, and then the next few days are A4.

Shooting in sequence... on 2 films together of this scale (what with having to juggle the various actors' schedules)... isn't really feasible (IMO) and I imagine a lot of actors will leave to go fulfill some other commitments and then return later in the year for more filming

Hope that made sense (sorry if it didn't)

They are shooting the two movies "concurrently" as they did with Superman 1 and 2 back in the 1970s and LOTR more recently.

Meaning if they have scenes in Avengers HQ in both movies -- they film all those scenes at the same time to save money. Scenes in Asgard (if any)in both movies filmed at the same time, etc.

Like this usually....

Scenes on sets/locations that appear in Avengers 3 only, filmed first

Scenes on locations that appear in both movies filmed second (with the scenes from the first film shot first to get a head start on the FX

Scenes on sets/locations that appear in Avengers 4 only, filmed last.

There could be exceptions involving availability of actors or seasonal weather for outdoor stuff.

I think they made it clear that the movies are connected but don't take place one right after the other (no cliffhanger)-- thus leaving time in between for Ant-Man 2 and Cap Marvel to take place between the two parts if they choose to set them in that gap -- which I think they will.

 I suspect something similar

No word yet on Ross or Fury showing up yet, huh? Weird. Didn't Marvel say recently that SHIELD is gonna make a comeback soon in the movies?

Samuel L. Jackson said he believes SHIELD will return to the MCU, but there's a difference between what he believes or wants will happen and what the higher-ups at Marvel Studios have planned.

If it does, will it have the same director and agents as in Agents of SHIELD or will they be completely different ones? Will they pretend AOS doesn't exist?

I expect Fury to be the peacekeeper/mediator between Cap and Stark. Consider him like their dad and he knew his two kids had to blow some steam off. They settled their difference without totally screwing up the world. With the world in danger Fury will get them focused.

What if Avengers 4 delves into the romantic movie genre and is a rom com with Josh Brolin and Cate Blanchett?

Maybe in the end Thanos pulls up in his limousine holding an umbrella while Hela is in her New York apartment and climbs a fire escape ladder to give her the fairy tale ending she always dreamed of.

I have something that I want to happen with AOS actually, but half the people here will disagree, to other half will start sending death threats. I'll give it a shot anyway.

I want them to some version of the New Avengers after Phase 3. They have plenty of characters to choose from and form a solid and diverse team. They've set up perfectly the Cap replacement (would prefer Bucky in that place, his relationship with Steve is much deeper and Sam's character is not really captain-y to me).
Steve gets killed by Thanos (huge moment since it would finally raise the stakes in these movies) and Tony, after all that happened previously with them, hangs the suit.
He's traumatized but still wants to help so they make him head of Shield.
It solves so many problems: MCU revolving around Iron man, Robert's age, the need for fresh characters and stories, and since the tv show will end by then, you can put it into the background of the movies and still use the acting chops that Downey has.

Maybe it would be weird for his comic book version, but here he's already a part of the government.

I can't imagine Fury won't have at least some role in at least one of the movies.

That's what I've heard. It's gonna be a marathon, but one advantage I see to it is, with a cast this large, it makes the logistical hurdles of getting everyone on set at one time or another less challenging. If RDJ is away for some other gig, they can fit him in at another time.

Mephisto will be Hela's gay best friend.

Eleven from STRANGER THINGS is on the set.

That would be a big miss for me as he was part of the original set up of this universe with that after credits scene. I don't need him to have a big role, just to appear (and hopefully say something badass).

Squirrel Girl confirmed.

Hahaha. Come on, man. I was just thinking the exact same thing, as in an "If" scenario she is indeed. And being a huge SG fan, I would be the happiest person.
