This thing needs to stop. This how tropes are created and people take them for granted while they are untrue.

Marvel DOESNT have quippy villains. The only one who could fill that bill would be Ultron. All the others antagonists from the movies all the way to he shows are pretty serious. This is like saying just because Ajax hd a buzzsaw haircut in deadpool all Fox loves giving buzzsaw cuts to their villains.

So put that fear to rest because the overall track record of the MCU doesn't indicate anything like quippy. And i don't want to see this complaint again since it's completely unfounded!!!

Dude chill, it was just a joke

I'd argue Loki was fairly quippy at times, just not to the same extent. As a whole, Avengers 1 had a much better balance of seriousness and comedy, while Age of Ultron (including the title character) veered too far into the latter.

Thanos won't look very smart dressed like that if he turns up in his white limo for Hela in a re-enactment of this scene in Avengers 4:

I'm not sure if he'd substitute the limo for the Thanos copter though.

Man, just imagine how it'd be if Thanos turned out to be a quip-tastic and generic villain who gets taken down in the third act easily after his faceless minions are disposed of by the Avengers......

The Captain America creative team has given us the best villains in the MCU so far, so I believe Thanos is in good hands.

It has nothing to do with Cap's creative team. The MCU doesn't have quippy villains in numbers. They are the extreme minority. Only 2 villains in various hours of films and tv could fill that bill.

No lets not imagine that :csad:..especially after all these years of build up!

The whole Phase 3 Sneak Peek video is now online; I looked, but hadn't seen it posted yet:

Probably in the Doc Strange threads. It's on the Digital Movie Extras for Doctor Strange. I posted a screen cap of what was on the extras there for the Digital.

I was just surprised that nobody mentioned the footage of Thor fighting Gladiator hulk, or Starlord and Gamora dancing :D

Wow! Thor Vs Hulk is gonna be awesome looking at that!

Well keep in mind, it's hard to keep track of Bootleg video. ANY screen caps from the Extras IS a bootleg. CAREFUL what you post in other words

I can SEE Loki being Quippy, THANOS on the other hand not so much. I can see Thanos talking down to "earthers" but not in the manner Loki would

Thank you!

Are they not referring to Spiderman: Homecoming as phase 3 since it's a join production with Sony? They didn't talk about it at all.
Not so far. Keep in mind it's just the EARLY promos we're seeing on the Doc Strange Bluray. NOTHING very detailed, not even Thor Raganarok or Gotg 2 for that matter. It was more like WHERE Doctor Strange FITS into phase 3 and Infinity War.

I expect Thanos to deliver some more "bathe the starways in your blood" type threats.

Thank you!

Do Marvel actually make any money on Spider-Man: Homecoming though? I thought they just had creative control.

Yes, I highly doubt they would join in and not get some payment. Sony needs MCU more than the MCU needed them/Spider-Man. I don't think Spidey bumped the Civil War box office much and will impact the Avenger box office much.

It is great to have him back, but people are already invested in the MCU and plan to see the movies.

No, that's not the only payment. They are also getting all the merchandise money. A healthy and popular Spider-man franchise= more merchandise demand= more money. The majority of people that are going to homecoming are oblivious that this is a movie distributed by Sony. T them it's the next chapter in the MCU.

So a propserous and blooming Spider-man franchise elevates the MCU even further. Of course Marvel didn't need him. But he will certainly help.

Also, Marvel/Disney make money if and once Homecoming reaches a specific (undisclosed at the moment) milestone at the BO.

Damn just realised IW comes out Next year. It's been a journey guys....

This time next year there will only be a couple of months to go, it's crazy to think about. Ten years near enough to the day since the release of Iron Man too, damn. It'll be pretty exciting 10th birthday for the MCU. :woot:

I was just thinking about that earlier today! This is going to be one of my most anticipated films ever.

Where was this stated?

They don't. Back in 2015 It was specifically stated in the deal specifics that Marvel don't get paid compensation for the Spidey films & Sony don't get paid for Spidey crossing over into other MCU films.
